Head to one of the world's most beautiful beaches, the Pink Sand Beach of Zamboanga.

When I first glimpsed the introduction to the Pink Sand Beach of Great Santa Cruz Island in Zamboanga in *National Geographic*, the short but impactful description was like a magical seed, planting a sprout of longing in my heart. From then on, I yearned to embark on this romantic journey, and finally, I did. Arriving in Zamboanga, the coastal city's charm exceeded my expectations. As soon as I stepped out of the vehicle, the salty sea breeze, carrying the unique scent of the ocean, greeted me, as if warmly welcoming a traveler from afar. The scenery here is breathtaking. The azure sky seamlessly connects with the crystal-clear seawater, creating a boundless, dreamlike panorama. The name "Zamboanga" itself is like a mysterious cultural puzzle. One theory links it to the legendary voyages of Zheng He, suggesting it was where he once stationed his fleet, hence the name "Samboangan" (Three Treasures). Another theory traces it to the Malay language, meaning "City of Flowers," while "samboang" refers to the oar used to propel boats during low tide. Walking down the streets, you'll see mostly devout Christians, along with a few Moro Muslims in traditional attire. Different cultures collide and blend here, exuding a unique charm. Of course, the most anticipated sight was the Pink Sand Beach. Standing on the beach, the scene before me was surreal. The fine pink sand shimmered under the sunlight, like a palette of pink paints accidentally spilled by nature, creating a romantic wonderland. Gentle waves lapped against the shore, stirring up layers of white foam, contrasting beautifully with the pink sand. Every photo taken here is a stunning masterpiece, no filter needed. I couldn't resist taking off my shoes and sinking my feet into the soft sand. The delicate touch from the soles of my feet dispelled all my fatigue. Besides the stunning scenery, Zamboanga's cuisine is also unforgettable. The local seafood is exceptional. The freshly caught fish, shrimp, and crabs seem to still carry the vitality of the ocean. At a small roadside restaurant, I ordered a steamed grouper. The tender fish meat melted in my mouth, and the authentic freshness burst on my taste buds. The spicy stir-fried crab, with its rich sauce coating the succulent crab meat, was a taste of the ocean's bounty, making it hard to stop eating. Strolling through the streets and alleys of Zamboanga, admiring the colorful buildings and experiencing the warmth and friendliness of the locals, my heart was filled with warmth. This city is like a pearl hidden in a corner of the world, unassuming yet possessing a unique brilliance. Leaving Zamboanga, I felt a pang of reluctance. The city's beauty, cuisine, and culture are deeply etched in my memory. If you long for a journey away from the hustle and bustle, a rendezvous with romance and beauty, then Zamboanga is definitely worth visiting.
