Yuni Town is a famous scenic spot in Hokkaido. It is a beautiful garden full of flowers and plants. It is open from May to October every year. There are different flowers throughout the year. There are cherry blossoms in spring, lavender and lilies in summer, and cosmos and poppy in autumn. We visited in late October, which was the season when the poppy grass turned red. There are 32,000 poppy grasses planted in Ren Garden. Poppy grass is also known as broom grass. It has a cute round shape and turns from green to red in autumn, which is the best time to appreciate it. Yuren Garden is not far from downtown Sapporo, and it takes about an hour to drive there.
