On a rainy day in Lijiang, I visited the serene Tinghua Valley, where the soft drizzle painted the landscape in fresh, vivid hues. Despite the grey skies, the valley was alive with color—countless flowers in full bloom, their petals glistening with raindrops like tiny jewels. The mist curled gently around the mountains, creating a dreamy, almost magical atmosphere. The sound of rain tapping on leaves added a rhythmic calm to the experience, while the cool air carried the sweet scent of wild blossoms. I wandered slowly along the winding paths, captivated by the contrast between the lush greens and the bursts of color from peonies, lilies, and wild daisies. The valley felt peaceful and untouched, a perfect escape from the busier parts of Lijiang. Even soaked by the rain, the walk was deeply refreshing.
