After several visits to Lijiang, I always wander around the Dayan Ancient Town, and the interwoven crowds and the noisy commerce can become tiresome after a while😭 So much so that I had no expectations before coming to Baisha Ancient Town - Under the Yulong Snow Mountain, the stone-paved alleyways are preserved The Naxi-style town occasionally features some ethnic totems and symbols Sitting on the balcony, with a cup of coffee watching people on the street Going up to the terrace, basking in the sun, daydreaming in front of the snow mountain - ☁️ Drifting clouds blow away the stress and troubles of the city Maybe amidst the busyness, one can afford to be a bit lazy, to give oneself a break To leave this rare moment of solitude and self-consistency to the peaceful years～ 📍｜Baisha Ancient Town, Lijiang 🚘｜About 20 minutes by taxi from Lijiang city center, also accessible by bus ⏰｜Open all day🉑 for visiting, you can take photos of the sunrise if you stay inside in the morning There are fewer tourists before 12 o'clock, and when the shops are not open, you can take photos of the street scene first In the afternoon, the photo spots and the ancient town become more crowded - 📷｜My favorite photo spots: ✅7 sea bar: You can take a photo of the ancient town's archway and the snow mountain from the second floor, there's no need to queue in the morning, but the light is better in the afternoon ‼️If it's too crowded, you can also go to the second floor of Yi Wa Tang next door · ✅Baisha Archway: Stand on one side of the archway, facing the light to take photos, you can capture the Yulong Snow Mountain through the archway, it's not recommended to stand in the middle as it may block the view · ✅He Xi: The second floor has a viewing terrace, it's quite nice to bask in the sun and relax, especially the 'tiles' that you can step or sit on to take photos of the snow on the rooftops · ✅Shan Qian Chi/Dongba Zha Ran: A special spot for taking photos with the small houses and the snow mountain, aerial and ground shots feel different, it's suggested to use a telephoto lens; the alley next to the tie-dye shop has various fabrics hanging on the wall, which are quite photogenic · ✅Baisha Murals: 🎫20, worth visiting for those interested in Naxi culture and history - 🍲｜Foodie's delight: 🔸Besides Yunnan rice noodles and smoked ribs, the chicken bean jelly here is also worth a try, especially the 'Naxi smashed pot dish' with tender pig's trotters and special Naxi dipping sauce, leaving a lingering taste 🔸 'Bun Poet' has a long queue, said to be buns made with flowers that taste of 'poetry and sentiment', worth a try - ‼️｜If time allows, you can go to the nearby Yunnv Village and Longnv Lake, closer to the foot of the snow mountain, quieter and more rustic, will share next time
