A 2-day, 1-night trip to Oita with round-trip flights via Oita Airport!

Tomorrow marks my 149th trip to Japan, and this time it's a 2-day, 1-night itinerary to Oita. Back in 2017, I flew with T'way Airlines to Oita Airport, but this time I'll be traveling with Jeju Air. This will be my 34th 2-day, 1-night trip to Japan. For this trip, I'll be guiding two friends. On the first day, we plan to visit Yufuin and enjoy afternoon tea as walk-in guests. We'll also tour Kinrin Lake and try the famous Golden Croquette. Accommodation will be at a hot spring hotel in Beppu. Dinner is reserved at a steakhouse in Beppu, and I've shortlisted three izakayas for a second round of dining. Depending on the local situation, we'll visit one of them. On the second day, if we wake up early, we'll have breakfast and visit one of Beppu's famous 'hells.' If we sleep in, we'll relax at Starbucks before heading straight to the airport. Transportation during the trip will be a mix of buses and taxis. There will also be some light shopping in the evening, and we'll visit one art museum in Yufuin. As for hot springs, we'll enjoy them on the first night and early morning of the second day. With a 1 PM arrival on the first day and a 2 PM departure on the second day, there isn't much time for proper meals, so we'll have lunch at Oita Airport on both days. Looking forward to a great trip.
