Oita | A place where blue spring water flows in untouched nature

About an hour's drive from Yufuin is the Oike Springs. This spot is beautiful with its pure spring water. The indescribable turquoise blue is so pretty, it looks like ink has been dropped into it. This water has been certified as one of the "100 Best Waters of Japan" and "15 Best Waters of Toyonaka", and you can see locals coming to get some. There is also a lush forest surrounding it, with trees that seem to be growing out of large rocks, like something out of a Ghibli world. It feels like you can hear echoes at any moment! It's also a great place for hiking, and if you walk a little further past the spring water, you will apparently find the "Meisui Falls".
