Looking at the Dongting from Baling, you can see everything around you

Baling Square is located next to Yueyang Tower and close to Dongting Lake. The square is named after the ancient name of Yueyang "Baling". It is one of the city's landmarks and a place not to be missed when visiting Yueyang city. On the north side of the square is Zhanyue Gate. It is said that it used to be the south gate of Yueyang. It is antique and majestic. The most famous sculpture in the square is "Hou Yi beheading the Ba Snake". Legend has it that Hou Yi once killed the giant python "Ba Snake" by the Dongting Lake. The bones of the Ba Snake were piled up into hills, which is where the name "Ba Ling" comes from. After seeing the cultural and historical sites on the square, you can go for a walk by Dongting Lake. The 800-mile Dongting stretches as far as the eye can see, with sky and water connected; or you can sit by the lake and enjoy the sunset quietly; you can also go shopping on Bianhe Street, which is an antique street. In the commercial street, there are scenery and buildings in the scenery; there is also an ancient pagoda, Cishi Pagoda, on the south side of the square, which is one of the "Baling Scenic Spots".
