Spring Visit to Liuhekou for Apricot Blossom Photography

🌟Highlights: Liuhekou is located at the western end of Jiugong Mountain in Yu County, not far from Jiugong Pass on the eastern side. It serves as an important gateway to the Danan Mountain area. The path through Liuhekou Valley into Yu County's Danan Mountain is winding and rugged, accessible on foot but not by vehicle due to the stone riverbed. The South Liuhekou Village sits on the eastern slope outside the valley entrance, with houses built in terraced formations following the natural contours of the hillside. To the south of the village is a large barren area, with its southern edge adjacent to the northern slope of western Jiugong Mountain. The slope features a mixed forest, while the large sandy river flowing from the valley runs west of the village. About half a mile north is North Liuhekou Village, and terraced farmland covers the eastern slopes. The valley entrance is flanked by steep cliffs several dozen zhang (Chinese unit of measurement) high, with a "Grandma Temple" built on the eastern cliff. About one kilometer south of the valley entrance, the sandy river turns westward. At this bend, directly to the south, lies a winding uphill valley with peculiar rock formations on both cliff faces.
