The First Zen Temple in Zhongtiao Mountain ‖ Wangu Temple in Yongji, Shanxi

👉The Duobao Pagoda of Wangu Temple is more than 160 years older than the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi'an and taller than the Yingying Pagoda of Puji Temple. It is said that the master built the Duobao Pagoda of Wangu Temple, and the apprentice built the Yingying Pagoda of Puji Temple. 👉Only the brick tower, beamless hall and medicine master cave remain now, and the others were built later. ✨Duobao Pagoda---built in 522 AD, it is the earliest pagoda in Chinese tower architecture. There is a pomegranate tree growing on the top of the pagoda. It is several decades old.
