Verny park

#japantrip Have you been out to Verny park, right off base, next to the Coaska Mall? 🌹 Have you visited the Yokosuka Modern Heritage Museum Thibaudier Residence, or the Verny Commemorative Museum, both located in Verny Park? These two spots are worth a stop if you have interest in the history of Yokosuka and how this area was developed. Both museums are FREE and their displays are in Japanese AND English. 🇯🇵 The museum staff are very friendly and happy to answer questions. The Yokosuka Modern Heritage Museum is located right next to the Amalfi Blue restaurant and has a 15 minute movie that plays each hour for 200 yen per person, that gives a little insight into the westernization of Japan. This museum also holds a large map outlining many different important spots you can visit in and around Yokosuka. And cards you can keep, like paint swatches, on important landmarks. 👀 Recommend!
