Rinshun Pavilion

#ancienttownvibes Rinshun Pavilion was originally built as the villa of the Kishu Tokugawa family. The Kishu Tokugawa family was the branch (branch family) of the Tokugawa clan that ruled Kii Province and Ise Province (Wakayama Prefecture and Mie Prefecture) in the Edo period, and it was one of the three Tokugawa Imperial families. Linchun Pavilion was built in 1649 by the ancestor of the family and the first lord of the domain, Tokugawa Rainobu, in Kishu Wakayama (Iwade City, Wakayama Prefecture) in 1649, and moved to Sankei Garden in 1915. The architectural style of Linchun Pavilion is built by several houses. Suyoriya-zukuri (Sukiya-zuri; すきやづくり) is one of the traditional architectural styles in Japan. In short, it is a residential style that integrates the style of Suyoriya (tea room). In Japanese, "Suyori" (Suyori) is translated as elegant things such as tea ceremony, flower ceremony or singing waka, and "Suyoriya" indicates the place where such activities are carried out. There is an elegant and beautiful bridge near Linchun Pavilion. From the bridge, you can enjoy the whole Linchun Pavilion and its reflection.
