Weekend Getaway from Shanghai (Public Transportation): On Saturday, I hiked Mount Sanqing, and on Sunday, I came to Guifeng Peak. ⛰️Guifeng Peak reminds me of Mount Wuyi and the neighboring Mount Longhu because they all feature Danxia landforms. Besides hiking, you can also take a boat tour to enjoy the beautiful Danxia scenery. 10:40 Take bus No. 2 from Yiyang Station and arrive at the scenic area gate at 11:30. Check tickets and transfer to the sightseeing bus. 11:40 Arrive at Suochun Cave and start the walking tour. Take the full route without a boat tour, which takes about 4 hours. 15:30 Return to Suochun Cave, take the sightseeing bus to the scenic area gate, and carpool for CNY 10. Arrive at Yiyang Station at 16:00. ❤️My tour route (full route): Suochun Cave → One Thread Sky → Sandaokou → West Coast → Camel Peak → Sandaokou → Good Man Slope → Suochun Cave (Figure 8) 💰Cost: Without taking a boat, I only bought tickets and round-trip sightseeing bus tickets for CNY 80. If you take a boat, you can buy a grand ticket for CNY 160. The full route of Guifeng Peak is the most classic. You can hike and sightsee at the same time. The whole journey takes 4 hours, which is not tiring, but it is hard on the legs, and it is very sunny on a clear day. 🔹You can only walk up the mountain. Camel Peak is the highest point. It is recommended to turn right and go counterclockwise around Camel Peak. There is a glass plank road behind the peak. 🔹To go down the mountain, in addition to returning the same way, you can also walk down from Camel Peak (or take the glass slide), and then take a boat + sightseeing bus back. If time is tight, you can visit Sandaokou, then go down the mountain via Good Man Slope and return, giving up the West Coast and Camel Peak. That is: ❤️Divine Turtle Route (small loop): Suochun Cave → One Thread Sky → Sandaokou → Good Man Slope → Suochun Cave, the whole journey takes 2.5 hours. Evaluation: ✅Advantages: The Danxia scenery of Guifeng Peak is really beautiful, and the ticket price is very cost-effective. Moreover, Guifeng Peak is very close to Yiyang County, so transportation is still very convenient. Because it is relatively niche, I personally think it is very suitable for holidays like May Day, which is less crowded than many popular scenic spots, and the experience will be very good. ❎Disadvantages: There is no cable car to go up the mountain, so you can only hike up, which is hard on the legs, but fortunately it is not very high, and there is beautiful scenery along the way. There are many stones and few trees in the Danxia landform, so it will be very sunny on a clear day. In addition, I personally think the boat tour is more expensive, so you can choose not to take it.
