Yixing UCCA Dune Art Museum

Yixing Dune Art Museum, designed by Kengo Kuma, who advocates the "weak architecture" design concept, uses "clay elements" and his commonly used bamboo, wood, and stone to interpret the core artistic conception of the building. Looking at the blocks of clay slabs stacked together, they are only supported by the wooden and steel structures behind them, exuding a light, suspended, and meditative atmosphere. The clay slabs used on the exterior of the museum not only have curved concave and convex textures on the surface, but also have a kiln color effect that gradually changes from dark to light through high-temperature firing.
