Silver City, an oasis in the desert, is known as the "Pearl of the Frontier". It was the site of the first special branch of the Communist Party of China in Ningxia during the period of cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party in 1926. 2. South Gate (also known as Nanxun Gate): Built in 1917, the South Gate has white walls, red pillars, and green tiles. It has two floors and a portrait of Chairman Mao on the observation platform in the middle, resembling the Tiananmen Gate in Beijing. 3. Yuhuang Pavilion: Built during the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt during the Qing Dynasty, Yuhuang Pavilion is the former site of the Zhongshan Daily. 4. Ningyuan Garden: Located to the west of Yuhuang Pavilion, Ningyuan Garden is a small garden with Qing Dynasty-style ancient buildings, featuring a strong Jiangnan style. 5.
