Xi'an to Yichang Four-Day Relaxed Travel Guide (Public Transportation Version)

Tips: This four-day relaxed trip is not a special forces tour, includes the Three Gorges Dam + Three Gorges Folk Village, and there are direct round-trip flights between Xi'an and Yichang. ———————————————————— Itinerary Day 1: Xi'an ✈ Yichang early flight, Yiling Yangtze River Bridge + Moji Mountain Forest Park + Riverside Park. On both sides of Yiling Yangtze River Bridge are Moji Mountain Park and Riverside Park. Moji Mountain has beautiful and relaxing scenery, you can spend an entire afternoon on the grass. Riverside Park is a great spot to watch the sunset. Day 2: One-day tour of Three Gorges Folk Village Book a group tour with xc, choosing the boat-in boat-out route is more convenient. The attractions include Three Gorges Folk Village + Longjin Stream. The Three Gorges Folk Village is average, mainly to experience Tujia ethnic culture. Longjin Stream has beautiful natural scenery with very blue water. The advantage of booking a group tour is that the guide manages the time throughout, ensuring you catch every performance in the scenic area. Day 3: One-day tour of Two Dams and One Gorge Two Dams and One Gorge refers to Gezhouba Dam + Three Gorges Dam + Xiling Gorge. We booked the xc 358 RMB/person group, choosing the boat-go car-return route. Attractions include the Gezhouba lock passage experience and the Three Gorges Dam ship lift experience. You must try these two to truly appreciate their grandeur and magnificence. Personally, I think these are the most worthwhile attractions in Yichang, highly recommended. Xiling Gorge is also very beautiful, after seeing it you’ll want to visit Wuxia Gorge and Qutang Gorge. Day 4: Wake up naturally, afternoon ✈ back to Xi'an Trip Summary: (1) According to online reviews, the scenery of Three Gorges Folk Village is very similar to Qingjiang Gallery. Since we traveled with children and elderly, we chose Three Gorges Folk Village. You can choose either based on your needs; there’s no need to visit both. Qingjiang Gallery’s A route is easy and suitable for sightseeing, B route is a hiking trail, choose according to your preference. Qingjiang Gallery also offers many one-day tours. (2) Almost all attractions in Yichang require boat rides. Self-driving is less convenient than joining a tour. It’s recommended to book separate one-day tours for a better experience. ———————————————————— Accommodation Recommendation: Almost all group tour meeting points are at the Three Gorges Tourist Center, so it’s recommended to stay nearby. It’s also very close to Riverside Park and Moji Mountain Park, making it very convenient to watch the sunset. ———————————————————— Food Recommendations: Ping’an Local Cuisine Restaurant (the spicy pepper ribs are a bit spicy but incredibly delicious!), Sun’s Specialty Roasted Beef, Huaxiang Shrimp Palace, Bachu Family Fresh Fish Restaurant. These four have high ratings for a reason, no disappointments at all, all very tasty.
