Check in at Xidi Ancient Village, Anhui

Introduction Xidi Village is located in the southeast of Yixian County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It was built in the 2nd year of the Huangyou period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1049), and has a history of nearly 1,000 years. It is a village inhabited by the Hu family, whose ancestor was the son of Emperor Zhaozong of Tang, Li Ye. He fled here due to a rebellion, changed his surname to Hu, and settled here. Xidi Village has a profound cultural heritage, with two national intangible cultural heritages: Huizhou Three Carvings and Huizhou Traditional Residential Construction Techniques. It is also listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site and a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
