Small rice chedi

Once upon a time, during the rainy season, there was preparation for transplanting rice seedlings. Every family would go out to plow the fields and prepare for the planting. There was a young man’s family who lost his father. He would also go out to do the same thing. One day, he plowed the fields for a long time until the sun was high in the morning. He felt more tired and exhausted than usual and hungrier than usual. Normally, his old mother would bring him rice every day, but today she came back unusually late, so he stopped plowing and went to rest under the tree, letting the little thief go eat grass. His eyes seemed to be looking towards the house, waiting for his mother to come and deliver the rice with a feeling of anxiety. The higher the sun rose, the hotter the sun became, and his hunger and thirst increased. Little Rice Basket Kills Mother Suddenly, he saw his mother walking along the embankment with a small rice basket. He felt dissatisfied that his mother had brought the small rice basket so slowly. He was so hungry that his eyes were blurry and his emotions were raging. He thought that there was definitely not enough food in the small rice basket, so he scolded his mother, “You old woman, what have you been doing that you have been bringing me rice so late? You only brought a small rice basket.” Will I be full?” The mother answered her son, “Even though the rice basket is small, it is still small and tightly packed in the basket, my child. Try eating first.” Hunger, exhaustion, anger, ringing in the ears and eyes, not listening to any sound, caused a strong rage, so he grabbed a stick and hit his old mother until she fell down. Then he went to eat until he was full, but the rice basket was not finished. After he came to his senses, he hurried to see his mother. When he saw that his mother was dead, the young man cried loudly and hugged his mother’s body. He felt guilty for killing his mother in a momentary lapse of reason. When the young man had his mother’s body, he asked and invited relatives and villagers to help mold bricks to build a stupa to enshrine his mother’s ashes, so he named it “The Stupa of Small Rice Baskets Killing Mother” until today.
