Yantai-Weihai 4 days and 3 nights family self-driving tour, the coastal highway has no end

Before departure, I made a travel guide, how should I choose between Yantai and Weihai? The answer is of course that I must have both! Yantai and Weihai are not far away. Along the way, there is a long coastal highway with beautiful mountains and sea. I have to say that the sea at the tip of the wing on this map is really transparent and blue [Heart][Heart] Although the short 3+1 Dragon Boat Festival holiday for migrant workers cannot fully experience the city, it is still long enough for them to drive through the best of Yantai and Weihai. The plan is to play at Golden Sand Beach on the first day, and rent a car from the second day to save some money [Purse] (take a taxi from the airport to the hotel, and rent a car to deliver the car to the hotel). In fact, Golden Sand Beach is much larger than imagined [Em]. Staying at Golden Sand Beach means you are only staying at one end of it. You can't rely on your legs, so you have to take a taxi back and forth. So if the time/price is right, you can still rent a car for the whole trip. 🚗🚗🚗Travel route: [Four] days [Three] nights Day 1: Penglai International Airport → All Seasons Hotel (Yantai Development Zone Golden Beach Housha Square Branch) → Yantai Golden Beach Seaside Park ✅Golden Beach Seaside Park: The beach is endless and the whales are almost flying into the sky [Pushpin] After avoiding the scorching sun, we set out to the beach to stroll (dig) in the sand. After realizing that we couldn’t walk to the Big Whale 🐳 to check in, we took a taxi to Yangfan Square to continue basking in the sun – the children had no resistance to the slides and other facilities in the square. The setting sun will fall between the buildings but it cannot block its splendor. There are many green algae on the beach but it does not affect the majestic atmosphere of the picture. For dinner, Yu Mancang was near the hotel, but the road was a bit strange, and I couldn’t find the small road suggested by the navigation, so there were 3 more people on the road who couldn’t find the store and were dizzy with hunger [FrightenUU] Day2: All Seasons Hotel (Yantai Development Zone Jinshatan Housha Square) → Yantai Mountain Scenic Area → Chaoyang Pedestrian Street → Yangma Island → All Seasons Hotel (Weihai City Center Weigao Plaza) ✅Yantai Mountain Scenic Area & Chaoyang Pedestrian Street: The romance of the seaside has a more fireworks atmosphere [Pushpin] Mountains, sea, city and port, the unique city landmark of Yantai offers a richer experience besides the sea view. With gray walls and red tiles, green shade and white tower, you can overlook the numerous cranes at Yantai Port and watch the giant ships sailing towards the blue sky. The mountain is not high, but taking a sightseeing car [Tricycle] with children is indeed a good choice. Chaoyang Street is at the foot of the mountain, which is probably the feeling of a citywalk holy land. There is a section of city road from the scenic area that is [zero] away from the blue sea. Even a quick glance is amazing. If you have enough time, you can really consider stopping for a while. 📝Note tips: There are many cars and narrow roads near the scenic area, and there are not many parking spaces, so you need to park as early as possible. 🍽Dining recommendations: There are many restaurants on Chaoyang Street, so you don’t have to worry about lunch. ✅Yangma Island: Seawater transparency [100] points without any discount [Pushpin] It happens to be at the passing point between Yantai and Weihai, so you can drive to the island. There is a one-way coastal road around the island. The core of the island is the Zhangdao Scenic Area, where there is a large shallow beach, with plank roads, reefs, and literary shops, where you can catch and pick up animals without any delay. However, there was no way to avoid traffic jams during the holidays, so there was no complete roundabout later on. In the evening, I went to Houhai Cafe to order a drink 🥤 and watch the sunset. The angle was just right, but unfortunately the clouds were a little thick. 🍽Dining recommendations: We had dinner in Mouping District and Yantai City outside the island. The food street was full of Korean food. We had a big barbecue meal and then rushed to Weihai. Day 3: Ji Hotel (Weihai City Center Weigao Plaza) → Maotou Mountain No. 2 Observation Deck → Weihai Park → Naxianghai Diamond Beach Bathing Beach → Jinshiwan Art Park → Muyunjian Holiday B&B (Huanhai Road Branch) ✅ Maotoushan: There is a kind of blue called colorful blue [Pushpin] Navigate to [RoundNails] Observation Deck No. 2 on Huanhai Road (do not navigate to Maotou Mountain), and you will arrive at the coastal winding mountain road that is half mountain and half sea. This one-way road is full of cars parked on the side of the observation deck. You don’t have to worry about which observation deck you are going to, just don’t miss any of them. It is like an artist's work. ✅Weihai Park: Walking with kids and checking in requires popsicles and snacks to keep you going [Pushpin] Weihai's city landmark. I went to check in at the big photo frame under the scorching sun at noon. There were quite a few people there and there were no empty shots. You have to rely on luck for parking. It's not a very good experience if you bring your kids [Spoof]. If you live nearby, it might be a better choice to come early in the morning. ✅Nanxianghai Diamond Beach: The world is noisy and bustling, sand digging is the simple and happy reality We left a few hours of exclusive time for the children. The sea water was as blue and transparent as ever, but there were too many people and it felt like there was a lot of garbage on the beach. There are large white windmills along the road for you to take photos in. You can order dessert and coconut milk at the cafe on the beach to steal a moment of shade (of course, it's crowded so you have to be patient and lucky). However, all kinds of beach and water entertainment can't compare to the joy of digging sand. 🍽Dining recommendations: This is a large resort with relatively complete facilities. You can consider having lunch here. ✅Jinshiwan Art Park: Enter the fairy tale world of seaweed houses and seagulls [Pushpin] It is very close to Qixiakou and Chengshantou, where you can watch the sunset, seagulls, Weihai's unique seaweed houses, and the tranquil sea. If you still have to consider whether the tickets are worth it, then with the free tickets for accommodation (the B&B conditions are pretty good and it is a sea view room when rounded off), you can have everything you want [OK]. It was a sunny day when we arrived, but the evening sea breeze and dark clouds☁️ came faster than turning the pages of a book, so we missed the last wonderful sunset over the sea. 📝Note tips: There are no shops nearby, so you need to drive to the nearby Qixia Village for dinner and pick up breakfast for the next day. Day 4: Muyunjian Holiday Homestay (Huanhai Road Branch) → Motianling Cableway → Stranded Cargo Ship Bluevis → Dashuibo Airport ✅Motianling Cross-sea Cableway: The scenery on the road, on the water, and in the sky [Pushpin] Qianli Mountain and Sea Self-Driving Tourism Highway, the name itself is beautiful enough [Highway] (of course we only walked a section of it). Passing the pier to Hailu Island, we happened to encounter a group of seagulls chasing a sailboat [Sailboat]. This perspective may be more interesting than that on the boat. We directly chose the cross-sea cableway to go to and from the parking lot, saving time and effort and focusing on the key points. Other fancy routes and taking the kids out for a walk would be putting more difficulties on ourselves [Cat].
