✨It's getting colder recently, be sure to dress warmly
1️⃣Check the weather before you leave, we couldn't take any pictures the first day we went because the fog was too heavy
2️⃣It is recommended to stay in the city center of Zhifu District, it is convenient to go anywhere, the bus fare in Yantai is 1 yuan, and there are bus stops at most scenic spots
3️⃣Be sure to try the seafood, sea intestine fried rice, Spanish mackerel dumplings and Penglai noodles, they are very characteristic
4️⃣Yantai has Penglai Airport, about an hour and a half drive from the city, or you can take a high-speed train from Yantai for about an hour

Walking in the rain on Yantai Hill
Yantai Hill Scenic Area is located at the southernmost end of Fuzhou's historical and cultural central axis, and is a direct testament to Fuzhou's modern diplomatic, commercial, and shipping history. In the twenty-second year of the Daoguang era of the Qing Dynasty (1842), the Qing government signed the Treaty of Nanjing with Britain, opening Shanghai, Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, and Ningbo as treaty ports, collectively known as the 'Five Port Commerce'. In the twenty-fourth year of the Daoguang era (1844), Fuzhou officially opened its port, and Western merchants and missionaries flocked to the area, renting land and building houses around Cangqianshan on Nantai Island, establishing foreign firms, schools, hospitals, and setting up consulates or agencies, forming the 'Cangqianshan Foreign Settlement'. The Yantai Hill area, located at the center of the settlement, thus developed into Fuzhou's consulate district and foreign trade base.
Taking the east-west Lequn Road - Aiguo Road as the main sightseeing route, along the line are important attractions and buildings such as the Cangshan Cinema, Yantai Hill Park, Lequn Building, Minhai Customs Tax Office, Shicuo Church, French Consulate, and American Consulate (Aiguo Road No. 2), where one can not only
experience a series of cultural, commercial, and religious buildings such as banks and American-Chinese bookstores, but also feel the multiculturalism of Yantai Hill and converse with time in a leisurely stroll.
The beauty of Yantai Hill, as described by Mr. Ye Shengtao, is that 'almost every garden, road,
cluster of flowers, house, rickshaw driver, has poetry in it. Especially endearing is the time when the evening sun is faint, and a bell tolls from the chapel, while several girls with flowered paper umbrellas walk under the green shade.'
This is Yantai Hill.

The last day of the first lunar month, to see the Azure Dragon of Yantai Mountain
Today is Saturday, the last day of the first lunar month, and the sky is exceptionally blue. The second day of the second lunar month, when the Dragon raises its head, is a Monday workday, with no free time to wander around.
To have a sense of ceremony, I must visit Yantai Mountain today, to see various elements of the Year of the Dragon. The big Azure Dragon on the north side of the parking lot has an imposing presence. The little orange lanterns outside the Bingxin Memorial Hall are also quite eye-catching.

Yantai | So I turned around and walked towards the sea
In the lingering heat of summer, I followed the mountains and the sea once more
At this time, there are fewer tourists at the attractions, and more seafood in the market, everything is just right.
🚄Transport: High-speed train Yantai Station/Yantai South Station
🏨Accommodation: Zhifu District·Manxin Hotel (The hotel is in a great location, situated on Chaoyang Street, just a few steps away from Yantai Mountain, saving the trouble of commuting to two attractions)
0⃣️ Day 0 | Arrival
Arrived at the hotel in the evening and ordered takeout from 'Qingdao Lao Wang Wild Wonton Barbecue', the taste was really good, and it became even better with pancakes and green onions!
1⃣️ Day 1 | Climbing mountains and watching the sea, waiting for the sunset
⛰️Yantai Mountain: No entrance fee, the lighthouse is beautiful but I didn't go up because of the queue, found a spot where you can take photos of a heart-shaped seascape, snapped eighty-one pictures (P2)
🏖️Second Bathing Beach: Took a taxi to the Fisherman's Wharf, parked the car at this spot, saw fewer people and walked into the sea, the second bath was the most surprising place of the whole trip, the sea water was incredibly clear, didn't want to leave (P3)
⛵️Fisherman's Wharf: After playing in the water at the second bath, walked uphill, the scenery along the way was very beautiful, checked in at the sea railway track, even if not for taking photos, that stretch of beach is also very clear and fun~
🦭🌛East Fort Moon Bay: Headed straight for Seal Bay, the boardwalk next to it is also worth walking with the sea breeze; near the end, there is a rocky beach, suitable for those who like to watch the waves hitting the rocks (P1); Moon Bay is not recommended for a special visit, but the evening light is gentle, and you can take atmospheric photos
🌄Housha Square: At 5:15, waited directly for the sunset, really liked the classic spot in P5, although the clouds were thick that day and I didn't see the ideal sunset, but the afterglow of the sunset/glass rooftop/group silhouette looked very healing!
2⃣️ Day 2 | Eating seafood, Yangma Island
🦞 Cultural Road Farmers' Market: A traditional market with a lively atmosphere, need to do some homework before going to see how various seafood are sold recently. Bought some and had it cooked at Lai Run Snacks, the spicy fried shrimp and the taste of gala were very memorable, the freshness of the seafood was not lost, and the seasoning was just right
🏝️Yangma Island: A one-sentence sharp comment 'If you haven't been, you'll be unwilling; if you have, you'll be disheartened', the scenery of this island heavily depends on the weather and the tide, if it's not a super sunny day, it's advised to head back. In the spirit of seeing is believing, chartered a car to go around the island, but because the clouds that day were thicker than my bills, the sea also seemed lifeless, until 5 o'clock when the sun finally came out, took the only beautiful sunset photo at Lotus Sunset (P6)
🍢Yantai Snack Street: Envious of saying I'm tired, hundreds of snacks gathered is just too blissful.. walked around half of it and was basically full, but that didn't stop me, packed everything to go!
3⃣️ Day 3 | Return
🏠Suochengli: Thought it was Chaoyang Street Pro before going, but found out it was Chaoyang Street SE, optional visit~ A restaurant in the attraction is not recommended, the only surprise was Yantai apple juice, so delicious I could lose my head, rested at noon for a while then took the high-speed train back!
Because I was too lazy to get up early, I didn't make use of the last two mornings, so even those with only two days can have a great time!
I'm off, thank you Yantai!

Gulangyu in Fuzhou is endlessly charming, making people never get tired of it even after ten thousand visits!
👀Some say it's like Qingdao, some say it's like Gulangyu, but in fact, it has its own unique charm, unknown to others!
🌈Half of the romance of Fuzhou is here. In the streets and alleys of Yantai Mountain, at the corner, through the ups and downs of a hundred years, witnessing history and poetry.
📍Location: Cangshan District, Yantai Mountain
🚇Transportation: Get off at Shangteng Station on Metro Line 1
🏯There is a large area here in Yantai Mountain, not only Yantai Mountain Park, but also many streets and buildings, which are very photogenic and scattered.
🚶I strolled around for half a day and summarized a route: Metro Station→Wanchun Lane→Lixin Road→Park Road→Progress Road→Maiyuan Road→Huaiyin Lane→Lequn Road→Dongqun Road→Chiho Lane→Y+space→Cangqian Road→Metro Station
🌟Come to Yantai Mountain and feel its unique charm!

Yantai City Walk
It takes half an hour by train from Weihai to Yantai. Yantai South Station is a bit remote, you can choose to stay near Yantai Station. Yantai Mountain-Chaoyang Street-Suochengli are on the same line, you can finish playing at once. Suochengli and Chaoyang Street are pedestrian streets suitable for going at night, they look good after the lights are turned on, you can enter Yantai Mountain by making an on-site appointment

Weihai Yantai Winter Travel Guide (The Most Photogenic Version)
✨Weihai Section:
1: Torch Eight Street is really worth going to, a very Japanese-style fresh street. But it's recommended to go early in the morning, we went at seven o'clock, basically no one. If there are people, the photo effect will be greatly reduced. Clothing matching, wear colorful sweaters, or light-colored coats are quite photogenic~
2: Jiang Guzui is said to be a small Jeju Island, overall it feels very Korean clean. But the place is very small, about an hour of photo shooting is enough. Clothing suggestion, Korean-style dopamine looks good, you can be a little quirky~
3: The Bruce wreck is really recommended to find a photographer to shoot, the price is not high, you can also bargain, basically 5 yuan a piece, it's hard to shoot a sense of fate with a mobile phone! And the Bruce wreck is very remote and far away, it is recommended to carpool, about 20 per person from the city, and a taxi is just over 30! Clothing suggestion: Just wear a solid color coat and a bright scarf, you can't stand taking off your clothes, just wear a coat! Down jackets are super invincible and not photogenic, not recommended!
Weihai has many places we didn't go to, it feels unnecessary, these three places are generally the most photogenic places, other places can be turned around if you have time, but it's too cold in winter, if you just want to take beautiful photos, just go to these three places!
✨Yantai Section:
There are many high-speed trains from Weihai to Yantai, with ticket prices around 20! The high-speed rail entrance is actually very photogenic! Use the mobile phone flash mode, take a picture of the window position, it has a film feel!
1: Yantai Mountain is actually not necessary to go, mainly to see seagulls, feed seagulls. Keep going forward and there is a swing that looks pretty good~
2: Chaoyang Street pedestrian street is next to Yantai Mountain, the shops inside all have a retro feel, you can order a cup of coffee in the shop, and stroll around~
3: Suochengli Street is a Chinese-style street, you can finish shopping in about 10 minutes, not particularly recommended!
4: Fisherman's Wharf and Bailang Coffee Shop are really photogenic, a random shot is full of atmosphere, if you want to take pictures, you can really go and see, you can shoot the whole street!
5: Yangma Island this season I suggest you go straight to the island diary, really must take a taxi or drive, I do not recommend renting an electric car this day!!
💕Accommodation: Weihai is actually very convenient near Weihai Station, the price is over a hundred can live in a very good one! In winter, you must see if there is floor heating! Yantai can live near Suochengli, it's very good to eat and go to various attractions!
💕Transportation: Yantai bus is really convenient, you can get a transit card with Alipay~ basically it's 1 yuan! Weihai travel is basically by taxi, I see many people say to charter a car, in fact, our whole journey is by taxi, a few yuan starting fee is enough, the wreck is a bit far, but you can also get a taxi. If you don't chase attractions, there's no need to charter a car!
💕Clothing: Inside I wore two thermal underwear, then a big sweater, and finally a coat is enough. For wives who are afraid of the cold, really warm baby, knee pads, hats and gloves don't forget!!

The mountain is not high, but it is spiritual with a dragon! Rush to the Big Tail Dragon Lantern Show
In the Year of the Dragon, take a picture of the dragon's head, and there's no need to worry about good things!
Yantai Mountain is making a move again! In the Year of the Dragon, embrace a wave of good fortune, great luck and great profit!
The 'Big Tail Lantern Dragon' is from the hands of installation artist Bao Xiaoge. The dragon's head is built from various discarded objects, and the dragon's body is made up of 240 intangible cultural heritage lanterns. With the core spirit of 'waste utilization and environmental regeneration', it is finished with a fishing net, forming a large-scale art installation that is hundreds of meters long.

Mount Yantai is not high
The historical area of Mount Yantai along the south bank of the Min River, where there are ancient Yantai relics, is not high and gentle. From the top of the mountain, you can overlook the Min River and the buildings on the opposite bank. Here is known as the 'Museum of International Architecture', and it still retains the mountain streets, Western architecture, and ancient houses from a hundred years ago. The customs building and the US consulate from the Republic of China era still retain their original appearance. Now when you walk in the small streets and alleys, you will sometimes feel like you are traveling through time. Many young people take photos and check in here for memories, and painters sketch and paint from their favorite angles. It is a good place to relax and stroll...
'A garden, a road, a bunch of flowers, a house, a carter, all have poetry. Especially lovely is when the setting sun is faint, a bell sound is sent from the church, and a few girls with flower paper umbrellas walk under the green shade...' This is the description left by Ye Shengtao for Mount Yantai in 1923.

Lesser-known attractions of Yantai Mountain, each with its unique charm
❤️ Yantai Mountain is the iconic scenic spot of Yantai City, integrating humanistic natural landscape and exotic customs, with scenery at every step and feelings everywhere. Here are a few lesser-known attractions of Yantai Mountain:
1⃣️Dragon Vein: There is a dragon vein line on Yantai Mountain. It is said that walking along the dragon vein line can live over 99.
2⃣️Dragon King Temple: Although not large in scale, it is the oldest building on Yantai Mountain. The Dragon King is enshrined in the middle, with the Wind and Rain Masters on the left and the Thunder and Lightning Gods on the right. This was also the former site of the French military command. In 1860, the French army landed in Yantai before attacking Beijing. Because the building was convenient for observing the sea, the command was set up here, which also became an important physical witness of modern Chinese history.
3⃣️Yantai Peking Opera Art Museum: Yantai, along with Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Wuhan, is known as one of the five major Peking Opera wharfs in Chinese history. In 1852, Wang Hongkui, a Yantai native, founded a troupe in Yantai, bringing Peking Opera to Yantai. The Yantai Peking Opera Art Museum fully and accurately presents the profound foundation and prosperous innovation of Peking Opera art in Yantai, allowing Peking Opera art to be passed down from generation to generation, and its youth to be forever.
4⃣️Relang Pavilion: A magical place to watch the waves, the pavilion is located in a protruding position, surrounded by the sea on three sides, with many reefs. Walking into the pavilion, you can feel the wind coming from all directions, and the waves hitting the reefs constantly splashing up waves, with the sound of the wind and waves coming and going. As soon as you leave the pavilion, the sound of the wind and waves stops abruptly, and the cold disappears without a trace.
5⃣️Century-old Holly Corridor: Holly is a common cold-resistant tree in the north, with hard branches and a long growth period, and its leaves are green all year round. This "Holly Corridor" has been carefully pruned and maintained by generations of gardeners, forming today's unique shape and scenery, and is also affectionately called the "Lovers' Corridor" by young people.

Fuzhou Yantai Mountain | With mountains, rivers, historical buildings, literary bookstores, cafes, and restaurants, you must come!
Traveling in Fuzhou, I strongly recommend everyone to go to Yantai Mountain!
You will never regret it, you can arrange a day's time, at least an afternoon!
Yantai Mountain Historical District is the end of the traditional axis sequence of Fuzhou ancient city, and it was an important window for Fujian Province's foreign economic and cultural exchanges.
After the Opium War, in the 24th year of Daoguang (1844), Fuzhou was officially opened as one of the five trading ports. Since the 25th year of Daoguang (1845), Britain took the lead in setting up a consulate in Fuzhou, and then 17 countries set up consulates in Fuzhou one after another.
In the following hundred years, foreign residents successively opened foreign firms, hospitals and schools in Fuzhou. The entire district and its surroundings have 163 modern excellent historical buildings, in addition to many foreign consulates, churches, foreign firms, villas and other Western old buildings, there are also dozens of Chinese-style garden ancient houses.
Therefore, Yantai Mountain is known as the World Architecture Expo Garden and the Little Gulangyu.
Many celebrities have left their footprints and poems here, such as Ye Shengtao's 'A garden, a road, a cluster of flowers, all have poetry...', Yu Dafu's 'Spring breeze ten miles south of the platform, listen to the pearl girl playing the orchestra...'
Yantai Mountain faces the Minjiang River, facing Zhongzhou Island and the city. The mountain is not high, the winding mountain road, the huge banyan tree, hidden in it are old buildings, many of which are national cultural relics.
After visiting the historical buildings on the mountain, walk down the stone steps to the riverside walking area at the foot of the mountain. There are many trendy brands and coffee and dining, which is a vibrant and extremely petty place. Many modern cultural and creative industries are integrated with the old houses to form a beautiful scenery.
Now this is the place where young people in Fuzhou love to hang out!
It's super romantic, looking at the mountains and water, shopping, eating, taking pictures, life is so beautiful!
Note‼️: Go to the visitor center to buy a map of the old foreign houses, which marks the location of all the old buildings, and there are three classic routes, which are very good!

Yantai is a famous 'snow nest'. As the name suggests, 'snow nest' is a place where the snow falls particularly large, and netizens therefore 'named' it-'Arctic Circle Yantai Branch Circle'. In recent years, the snow in Yantai has fallen year after year, and it is beautiful year after year. 'Come to Yantai to see the snow in winter' has gradually become a new city business card❄️
·
5⃣️Skiing
In order to make good use of the natural advantages of the 'snow nest', Yantai has built Taishan Ski Resort, Bolang Ski Resort, Lingshan Ski Resort, Luoshan Bichette Ski Resort and other ski resorts🏂🏻. This year, Yantai will also 'update' Nanshan International Ski Resort, which is already expected⛷️
·
6⃣️Soaking in hot springs
Yantai also has dozens of hot springs such as Kunlun Hot Spring, Cishan Hot Spring, and Yudai Mountain Hot Spring. The biggest difference between northern hot springs and southern hot springs is that you can touch the steaming heat in the snow, and experience the 'ice and fire two heavens'♨️. Yantai also relies on Zhangyu Wine City, Junding Winery and other leisure wineries to launch the 'red wine + hot spring' heart-nourishing journey, waiting for you to experience🍷
·
7⃣️Eating seafood
The unique geographical location allows Yantai to easily achieve seafood freedom in winter🦀: The oysters in autumn and winter are the most nourishing; the hairtail in winter accumulates a lot of fat in the body for hibernation, so the meat is thick and oily, and the taste is particularly good; razor clams, sea breams have also reached the most fat and delicious time✨
·
8⃣️Tasting delicious food
Yantai has Penglai noodles, mackerel dumplings, Jiaodong flower buns and other 'outstanding representatives' of Jiaodong cuisine🍜, and in winter there are Shandong specialty dishes such as 'Eight Immortals Banquet', full fish banquet, Jiaodong eight big bowls, tofu banquet, New Year's banquet launched by famous Shandong cuisine restaurants✨

Reminiscing about the modern era - A pilgrimage to Yantai Mountain Scenic Area
- This time, I took the opportunity to visit Yantai, a city that often appears in China's modern history, on my way back to Qingdao. To understand the history of this city, Yantai Mountain Scenic Area is a good place to go. The city's modern historical buildings, the iconic Yantai Mountain Lighthouse, and the harbor built along the mountain, may not be as well-known as Penglai Pavilion, but they can better showcase the historical charm of Yantai. After parking in the parking lot outside the scenic area, you can see a street with obvious characteristics of the times - Chaoyang Street, which, with the lighthouse behind it, forms a landmark building group of the city.🏘️
👉Scenic Area Overview
As a base for patriotic education, the scenic area is open to tourists for free. There are modern historical buildings in the area. Walking here, you will be stopped by the endless buildings to slowly appreciate them. Unlike the concession buildings in Tianjin and Beijing, here it is surrounded by mountains and sea, with different heights, and the perspective of viewing the buildings also varies. It is similar to the Badaguan in Qingdao, but unlike the German-style red roofs in Qingdao, due to the opening of Yantai, 16 countries have built buildings here one after another, making the color and type of buildings here more diverse.🎉
👉Scenic Area Highlights
【U.S. Consulate】
The U.S. Consulate, which has a history of more than 150 years, has now become a coffee shop for tourists to rest. Its excellent location allows tourists who have just entered the scenic area to see it at a glance.🤓
【British Consulate】
This building was the British Consulate at that time. As the earliest consulate among the 16 countries, it shows the enthusiasm of the British Empire, which was never setting sun at that time, for expanding its overseas influence. Now the building is a museum of historical materials.
【Former Residence of the Deputy Tax Commissioner of the East China Sea (Peking Opera Art Museum)】
After the Second Opium War, according to the unequal treaties of the Tianjin Treaty and the Beijing Treaty, the Qing government was forced to open Dengzhou as a trading port. Later, after the British minister came to China for inspection, he believed that Yantai was more advantageous than Dengzhou for building a port. Under pressure, the Qing government opened Yantai. Now this building is open to tourists as the Peking Opera Art Museum.
【Holly Corridor】
On the way to the lighthouse, there is a holly corridor. For such man-made scenic corridors, we are already used to it, but the history of this corridor can also be traced back to a hundred years ago. The entire corridor is about 190 meters long. The sunlight penetrates the dense branches and leaves and shines on the ground, giving the entire corridor a sense of light and shadow, attracting many tourists to rest and cool off here.🍃
【Alliance Cliff Bridge】
After passing the Ralang Pavilion in the scenic area, it is said to be a good place to watch the sunrise in Yantai. After passing the pavilion, you can see this wooden bridge. The wooden bridge is built between the cliffs, because it is located at the Alliance Cliff, so it is named "Alliance Cliff Bridge". Although it is in the center of the city, the quality of the surrounding seawater is visibly good. Without any filters, the seawater under the film can also be called clear.
【Yantai Mountain Lighthouse】
As one of the symbols of Yantai, the Yantai Mountain Lighthouse was built on the original beacon tower. The earliest completion time can be traced back to 1905 (the 32nd year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty). After Yantai was forcibly opened in modern times, it provided services for nearby merchant ships. However, due to the rudimentary facilities of the lighthouse at that time, it could not meet the daily shipping requirements after the liberation of our country. In April 1988, a new lighthouse designed by Tsinghua University stood on Yantai Mountain, which is the lighthouse we see now. The newly built lighthouse is 49.5 meters high, with a total of thirteen floors. The platform can accommodate 200 people for sightseeing. The strong light of the lighthouse can reach 40 kilometers.👍
【Cheongsam Museum】
After descending from Yantai Mountain Lighthouse and following the road, you will arrive at the Yantai Mountain Chinese Cheongsam Museum. The ticket price is 10 yuan per person. As an interactive experience museum, there are three floors in the museum. Each floor is designed in a thematic style. Here you can deeply feel the charm of Chinese national costumes. When we first entered the door, we saw the museum staff making paper lanterns, as if they were decorating for an upcoming event. Unfortunately, we did not catch up with the explanation in the museum. We only saw the form of the flowers and horses. In the end, we just took a few photos and left in a hurry.😂 We did not see the precious celebrity cheongsam exhibits rumored in the museum, which is a bit regrettable. However, several original cheongsams with distinctive features in the museum left a deep impression on me.🥸
👉Travel Insights
After coming out of the Cheongsam Museum and walking back, there are still not many tourists on the road. You can slowly appreciate the buildings on both sides, look at the mottled walls, and taste the traces left by the years. The embassies of various countries in the past no longer have the high halo, leaving only the appreciation and discussion of today's people. From these existing buildings, we can peek into the history of the past.📖 When we left, the sky became cloudy again, and the embassy under the green onion seemed to have a new look. If I were to choose only one place to go in Yantai, this would be my only choice.👍

Yantai ~ Secret Treasure in China
Nature is changing rapidly, and the scenery at every moment is unique.
Huanghai Pearl: seaside homestay, lighthouse coffee.
Tianma trestle: The love-themed trestle is in the shape of a note. The building on the sea is a big diamond ring. Penglai Pavilion: the legend of "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea" and "mirage" comes from this. The weather is good and you can see the boundary line of the Yellow Bohai Sea here.
Sanxian Mountain: the shooting place of Diplomacy. The pavilions and pavilions are magnificent.
Wencheng Castle: the shooting location of "The Richest Man in Xihong City".
Golden Beach Waterfront Park: There is a huge sculpture on the beach, with a giant whale half sinking into the sand sea on the front and a slide on the back. A whale falls and everything is born.

Yantai in the eastern part of Shandong Peninsula is a beautiful coastal city. Although the city is not as big as Qingdao, its opening is earlier than Qingdao. In the Yantaishan Park on the seashore of the city center, there are still many sites of consulates in the country, witnessing all this.
Yantai Mountain is a hill with an elevation of only 42.5 meters, just by the sea. In the 31st year of Ming Hongwu (1398), in order to prevent flooding, a wolf-burning pier was built on this mountain, also known as a beacon tower. So the people who built the beacon tower were called "Yantai Mountain", Yantai. The city is named after Yantai Mountain.
1861, according to the "Tianjin Treaty", Yantai was turned into a trading port, becoming one of the earliest cities in northern China and the earliest trading port in Shandong Province.
17 countries including the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Germany, and Japan have established consulates, foreign banks and other offices in and around Yantai Mountain. These small buildings are scattered in the green trees, which is the former site of the consulate. .
Yantai Mountain Scenic Area is the largest modern consulate complex in Asia. The buildings are of different architectural styles, with rich atmosphere and well-preserved, which is a treasure house of modern architecture. Some consulates have been converted into museums to showcase the city's modern development. A white lighthouse on the top of the
is particularly eye-catching. In July 1905, the British built a lighthouse on the site of the Beacon Tower, which has been in use for more than 80 years.
