At the end of May, Mount Changbai is just lovely

I want to say, I really love Mount Changbai in May! Mainly because I have accumulated enough good deeds on ordinary days, and whenever I travel, the weather is always nice. The journey from the distribution center to Heaven Lake takes almost more than an hour. The first 40 minutes are on a flat road, with lush forests on both sides. Sitting in the front row and looking forward, it feels as if time has stopped, and I'm completely relaxed. The 20-minute drive up to Heaven Lake changes from a forest path to a winding mountain road, and suddenly the view becomes incredibly vast. As far as the eye can see, there is nothing but forest. The reflection of the clouds on the earth creates a mottled shadow, extremely beautiful. On the distant mountain ridges within sight, patches of grey-white objects make one wonder if it's snow or if the mountain is bare. Upon closer inspection, it is indeed snow, probably with basalt dust mixed into it, turning into ice. It's a bit dirty, but let's not be too demanding! It's still quite beautiful when you get used to it. Closer to Heaven Lake, at a higher altitude, the birch forest still looks like winter, with branches reaching out as if covered in silver by the sunlight. Soon after, the scenery changes to a different type of vegetation, a coniferous forest about 10 meters tall. Along the way, there's so much to see, but the best is yet to come! On May 29th, the weather was excellent. The water in Heaven Lake had started to thaw about three or four days ago, and 90% of the lake surface had melted, leaving only two corners with some remaining ice, as if waiting for me to experience the two different states of Heaven Lake! (I mean, positive self-suggestion is really necessary!) The sky is a deep blue, clear and boundless, with thick white clouds each of their own shape. There is a breeze, but it's not strong, yet it's enough to move the clouds at a visible speed, reflecting on the sparkling lake surface, creating reflections that are either deep or shallow. Staring at this tranquil yet not still scene, I hope time can slow down, even more, to let me watch a little longer...
