Reverse Tourism! Changbai Mountain this summer is really 'off the beaten path'~

Influenced by TV dramas, I have always longed to see the true face of Changbai Mountain guarded by Zhang Qiling, so I embarked on this exciting journey to Changbai Mountain and Yanji. Here is a practical guide for a four-day, three-night trip, hoping to help you avoid pitfalls during your travels. Four-Day, Three-Night Itinerary Day 1: Arrive in Changchun by plane, walk about ten minutes within the airport to reach Longjia High-Speed Rail Station, take a two-hour high-speed train to Changbai Mountain Station, and then check into Erdaobaihe Town. Here, you can fully enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the town. Day 2: Brave the climb to Tianchi of Changbai Mountain, experience the thrill of Moguai rafting, and then head to Yanji. Day 3: In the morning, visit the Oriental Water Market to feel the local atmosphere; then tour the Korean Folk Village, wear traditional Korean clothing for a beautiful photo shoot; and check out the popular sign wall. Day 4: Tour the China-North Korea border, appreciate the unique border scenery, and then stroll along the Tumen River. Travel Tips It is very convenient to reach Longjia High-Speed Rail Station after arriving in Changchun by plane. However, be sure to check the weather forecast before heading to Tianchi of Changbai Mountain, as bad weather may cause the pool to be closed. It is not recommended to buy the anti-slip chains sold at the entrance of Changbai Mountain Scenic Area, as they are not very practical. The wind at Tianchi is strong and cold, so be sure to wear a thick down jacket with a hood. In winter, only the north and west slopes of Tianchi are usually open; the north slope is near Erdaobaihe Town, and you can take a taxi from the town to the scenic area's ticket checkpoint. There are buses from Erdaobaihe Town Bus Station to Yanji, making travel convenient. Half a day is enough to tour the China-North Korea border in Tumen. In Yanji, the Korean Folk Village is a must-visit, where you can take unique photos in traditional Korean clothing. The Oriental Water Market opens early, and the best time to visit is from 5 to 8 AM. You don't need to buy coffee to check out the popular sign wall; there are many cups on the ground that you can use for photos. Northeast Winter Warm Clothing Upper body: Choose a long down jacket with a hood, which is warm and windproof. Lower body: Fleece-lined thick cotton pants to keep your legs warm. Shoes: High-top snow boots to protect your feet from the cold. Socks: Thick cotton socks to increase warmth. Accessories: Gloves, scarves, earmuffs, and wool hats to fully resist the cold. Additional Attractions - Laokeli Lake: A fairy-tale world where primeval forests and snow scenes complement each other. - Underground Forest: A natural oxygen bar where you can feel the magical charm of nature.
