The Grand Canal Museum in Winter

The China Grand Canal Museum, a National First-Class Museum, is located at No. 1 Yunbo Road, Guangling District, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It covers an area of 200 mu, with a total construction area of approximately 80,000 square meters, and is affiliated with the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. It is a local modern comprehensive museum integrating cultural relic protection, scientific research and exhibition, and leisure experience, and a landmark project in the construction of the Grand Canal National Cultural Park. As of the end of 2021, the Yangzhou China Grand Canal Museum houses over 10,000 pieces/sets of various cultural relics and exhibits reflecting the theme of the Grand Canal, ranging from the Spring and Autumn Period to the present day, including ancient books and documents, calligraphy and paintings, steles, ceramics, metalware, and miscellaneous items. The museum features 3 permanent exhibitions, 6 special exhibitions, the "Love of the River" digital immersive exhibition, and a small theater for traditional opera performances, among others. It also collects various cultural relics and exhibits reflecting the theme of the Grand Canal, from the Spring and Autumn Period to the present day, such as ancient books and documents, calligraphy and paintings, steles, ceramics, metalware, and miscellaneous items. The museum's collection comprises 4,350 pieces/sets.
