Yangzhou Camphor Tree Hotel

Yangzhou two-day tour ended||Recently work has been too busy, so I drove to Yangzhou on the weekend to experience the slow pace of Yangzhou. Starting from Jiangning, it took about an hour and a half to reach Guangling District, and the hotel was booked next to the Grand Canal at the Camphor Tree Hotel. The whole trip was all about being casual, just to relax, so I didn't plan much strategy. ✅Pishi Street Dongguan Street Once in Yangzhou, I parked the car and walked to these two attractions, which are connected streets. Actually, like most tourist spots, they are quite commercialized, but it's still nice to stroll around and have some snacks. ✅A San's Sister-in-law Huaiyang Cuisine For lunch, I randomly chose a place on Dongguan Street, about 80 RMB per person, pretty standard. ✅Grand Canal Museum After lunch, I took a taxi to the museum. I made a reservation a week in advance, entered at 1:30 pm, and left after 4:00 pm. The museum has a strong sense of technology, and many parents brought their children to experience history, overall it's worth a visit. ✅Camphor Tree Hotel Actually more of a homestay type, not many rooms in total, within walking distance to most scenic spots. The service is also good, they provide afternoon tea and coffee, and communicate the itinerary and recommend attractions one day in advance, and the rooms also have makeup remover and cotton pads. What I really cared about was that the rooms have floor heating, in winter just using the floor heating without air conditioning can make the room temperature reach 26 degrees, really comfortable. The only downside, the hotel's own parking lot is not big, and parking is difficult for someone with average driving skills. ✅Garden Teahouse Morning Tea The next morning, I found the nearest morning tea house from the hotel, less than a five-minute walk. I arrived at the shop at 9 am, queued for about ten minutes, which was faster than expected. The shrimp roe wontons were really good, about 20+ RMB per person. I didn't visit the Slender West Lake and He Garden this time, as I feel that the gardens in the south of the Yangtze River are quite similar, and I've seen a lot in Nanjing, maybe it would be better in a different season. Also, the ancient city area of Yangzhou is not big, and it's easy to get stuck in traffic when driving, especially near Ganquan Road. To get to the attractions, walking or using a small electric scooter can solve the problem
