Yangzhou Two-Day Travel Guide

Since this trip only involved two girls, our itinerary was planned around the Slender West Lake scenic area. We chose the Yangzhou State Guesthouse as our hotel. Slender West Lake is nearby the hotel area, and the front desk offers fish and swan feed. We checked in at 2:00 PM. Just after finishing our makeup, we went out to take photos at 3:00 PM. We walked from the hotel to Qu Yuan Tea House. Along the way, we fed the fish and took photos. By then, we were already hungry. Dinner service in the hall started at 5:00 PM. After a tiring walk, we sat by the fish pond behind the tea house, enjoying the breeze and feeding the fish while waiting for dinner (the whole environment felt very quiet, with the only noise being the occasional carp leaping out of the water 🤭. During the meal, there was a performance of musical instruments and storytelling. The tea was really fragrant 👍. On the way back to the hotel, it was almost sunset, and we fed the swans along the way. On the second day, we visited the Yunshui Sanqian Fragrance Museum, a great place for intangible cultural heritage 👍. The location is inside a park next to Slender West Lake. We chose to make scented pills, and the experience was top-notch! After the complimentary afternoon tea, the tea was rich in flavor, and the seasonal bayberries and grapes were also very fresh. A visit to Yangzhou really must include this place! In summary, the overall experience was satisfying with delicious food and picturesque scenery. My friend Little Frog and I both agree that it's very suitable for retirement living 😁
