Xiandao Lake, originally named Thousand Island Lake, also known as Wangying Reservoir, is located in Wangying Town, Yangxin County, Huangshi City, at the northern foot of Mufu Mountain. It is 140 kilometers away from Wuhan, a major city in central China, and 130 kilometers away from Lushan. National Highways 106 and 107 pass by. The area covers 276 square kilometers, with 1002 islands embedded in 46,000 acres of water surface, just like a galaxy constellation, not a fairyland but better than a fairyland, enjoying the reputation of 'the first strange lake in Jingchu'. Xiandao Lake has excellent vegetation and species clusters, with an air negative ion concentration of 1010 per cubic centimeter, a lake water visibility of 5 meters, an average summer temperature of about 25 degrees, and a winter temperature of about 8 degrees. There are also many caves along the lake shore, with streams inside the caves. Xiandao Lake is a provincial-level ecological tourism scenic area, a CCTV film and television shooting base, a national 4A-level scenic spot, and is known as one of the 'three major Thousand Island Lakes in the world' together with Thousand Island Lake in Hangzhou and Thousand Island Lake in Canada. Xiandao Lake has undergone tremendous changes. The relics of the Tang Dynasty Luo Binwang's catalogue hidden mausoleum still exist, the 'coming bell' preserved intact in the Jiajin year of the Jiajing period at the end of the Ming Dynasty, and the inscriptions on the 'Ling Tong Xiandao' stele are clear.
