Lingnan Tea House: A Morning Tea Feast

On a rare leisurely weekend, I woke up early, as if gently awakened by the aroma of morning tea hidden in the hustle and bustle of the city. A thought flashed through my mind, and the familiar Lingnan Tea House shone brightly in my heart. It was like an old friend who had been waiting for a long time, guiding my steps. When I stepped into the tea house, the noise had not yet reached its peak, but it was already bustling. Many elderly people sat around leisurely drinking tea, their expressions relaxed and content, and the laughter and chatter made me certain that I would find delicious food that would linger in my memory. The signature shrimp dumplings were the first to be served, like exquisite works of art. The dumpling skin was as thin as paper, almost transparent, and the plump and tender shrimp inside could be seen faintly. With a gentle bite, the soft and glutinous dumpling skin and the crispy and bouncy shrimp collided in my mouth, and the fresh and sweet taste of the shrimp burst on my tongue. The pure and rich flavor was like the first ray of sunshine in the morning, bright and moving, instantly awakening my taste buds and making me intoxicated by the wonderful taste. The golden sand red rice rolls followed closely, with the red rice skin oily and bright, wrapped in a layer of golden and crispy thin rice skin, and plump shrimp in the middle. Dipped in the special Thai-style sauce, the unique sweet and sour taste intertwined with a slight spiciness, cleverly neutralizing the greasiness of the red rice rolls. Each bite was rich in layers and diverse in taste, making it irresistible, and I just wanted to taste this unique delicacy one bite after another. The satay steamed beef tripe was even more exceptional. The beef tripe was cut evenly, with clear textures, and glistened with an enticing luster after being soaked in satay sauce. Upon entering the mouth, the spicy and slightly sweet satay sauce hit first, followed by the tender and chewy beef tripe. The rich and mellow taste, with every texture permeated with the fragrant aroma of the sauce, made it impossible to stop eating, immersing me in this hot and fragrant taste carnival. Steamed chicken feet were also a must-order dish. The chicken feet were steamed until soft and glutinous, and with a gentle suck, the bones and meat separated instantly, melting in the mouth. The peanuts in the chicken feet were the finishing touch, absorbing the delicious broth of the chicken feet, soft and sweet, with a unique flavor. There was also the steamed pork ribs with taro. The dense taro and the tender pork ribs complemented each other, with the aroma of the pork ribs penetrating every inch of the taro, and the sweetness of the taro adding a touch of freshness to the pork ribs. The two were perfectly matched, like a match made in heaven, adding a rich and colorful stroke to this morning tea feast.
