Yangshuo Li River Family Travel Guide! Practical tips for enjoying the landscape painting with kids

Guilin's scenery is the best under heaven! For this ancient saying, I specially brought my parents to play on the Li River for a day～Definitely worth it💯 👉Transportation: 1⃣️🚄High-speed train: It only takes about 20 minutes from downtown Guilin to Yangshuo! After exiting the station, there is a direct bus🚌 to Xingping Ancient Town on the left, and also shuttle buses to Yangshuo County. For families with kids, taking a Didi🚗 is more convenient～ 2⃣️🚢Cruise: There are star-rated cruises from downtown to Yangshuo, but the whole trip takes more than 4 hours, not recommended for elderly and children. 👉Food recommendations: 🍜Must-try snacks! Guilin rice noodles 5-8 RMB, Youcha (oil tea), Osmanthus cake, Guibai shaved ice, sticky rice are all good～ 🍲For meals, try beer fish, Qiongda fermented vinegar, Grandma’s coconut chicken, with mild flavors suitable for kids! 📢Travel tips: ✅After getting off at Xingping bus station, go directly to the Li River scenic area to buy electric bamboo raft tickets🎫 (round trip from Chaobanshan to Jiuma Mountain Painting, 50-60 minutes). This section is the essence of the Li River! The landscape is as beautiful as a painting🏞️ ✅Each bamboo raft holds 4 people and can be shared. For families with kids, it’s recommended to sit in the front row! The view is wide open, and the breeze is super comfortable～truly experience "Boating on the green waves, people travel in a painting"🛶 ✅After getting off the raft, explore Xingping Ancient Town! The ancient theater stage, coffee shops, and snack shops are great to visit～You can also rent electric scooters🛵 to tour around ✅Originally planned to watch the sunset at Xianggong Mountain🌄, but it was too hot and with elderly, we returned to Guilin early～Leave some regrets for next time! Self-driving or renting electric scooters is recommended for more fun～
