Trip to Yangshuo

Since the trip to Yangshuo was decided last minute and I am a low-energy traveler, I didn’t visit many places. This guide is more suitable for traveling with parents. 🏠 Stayed at a booked homestay; the owner was very nice. The house is their own, and renting their homestay includes free use of an electric scooter. 🍜 During the three days and two nights, I had one proper meal; the rest were just quick bites. 📍 First, about rice noodles/snail noodles: I checked many food guides before going, but most tastes vary from person to person, and none had all positive reviews, so I ignored Xiaohongshu. Since the homestay is right next to the Ten-Mile Gallery, I first randomly picked a place. Walk right from Gongnong Bridge, there’s a place called Weixiang Guilin Rice Noodles. Their noodles, whether the three-flavor or snail noodles, were pretty good. I ate there twice—one snail noodle meal is shown in the picture, the three-flavor noodles I didn’t photograph. I also went to Zhang Lao Qi’s broth snail noodles. The taste was a bit salty, similar to the first place. I also ordered pig’s feet and duck feet to take back to the homestay, see P2. Neither of these two places was a bad choice. If you like spicy food, you can try them. 📌 About desserts, Su Jie Dessert and Su Qin Dessert are both next to Zhang Lao Qi’s snail noodle shop. I bought two bowls to take back to the homestay. Honestly, they were just average, nothing amazing—coconut milk with various fruits, raisins, and red dates. 🍚 The only proper meal was at Jie Zai Food Hall. If you want a nice environment, forget it; it’s just an ordinary small restaurant, and the place wasn’t very clean. The dishes tasted like regular home-style stir-fries, nothing impressive, but affordable and not expensive. 👣👣👣 Mainly walked the Ten-Mile Gallery, Qianli Jiangshan to watch the sunset, and bamboo rafting. You can find many routes for the Ten-Mile Gallery on Xiaohongshu, but don’t use navigation to locate “Ten-Mile Gallery” directly, as it will guide you to a highway from Gongnong Bridge, which splits into two roads on the left and right. The right side has lotus ponds, Butterfly Spring, and other spots, but nothing particularly special. On the left side, set navigation to Anzaiye Homestay. From the small path opposite Anzaiye Homestay, ride the electric scooter down, and you’ll see Mingjingtai, the popular swing, windmill, and the famous Chaoyang Dam. Just keep riding the scooter along that path. The detailed route is at the end of the text. 🌄 To catch the sunset at Qianli Jiangshan, I took a shared car for 50 RMB per person, round trip included. I originally wanted to take a taxi myself, but even if you get one, the driver won’t go through the platform because the area is very remote. They only accept shared or chartered rides. ⛰️ The mountains and waters are really beautiful. For the Yulong River bamboo rafting, you need to grab tickets the night before; tickets for Shuedi Pier are hard to get, so I got a double raft ticket for Qing’e Pier instead, booked through “Yulong River.” But with the current weather, even the earliest 7:30 AM slot is already very sunny. Route map: Gongnong Bridge ➡ Anzaiye Homestay ➡ Jima Pier ➡ Trail Entrance ➡ Chaoyang Dam. ‼️ In summer, be sure to protect yourself from the sun, apply sunscreen, and use physical sun protection. 🔅 It’s really sunny; I already have clear tan lines. Yangshuo’s natural scenery is really nice. Hope everyone has a great time💕
