1.21 Yulong River Bamboo Rafting Live Stream: Jima Departure Private Tour Guide

📍Yulong River Bamboo Rafting: Booked the 10:00–12:00 slot from Jima Pier to Comprehensive Pier on 1.21 the night before at 8:00. It didn't seem difficult to book tickets these two days. There were still tickets available the next morning, so there was no need to rush. 🚗 Arrived at Jima Pier at 10:50 by car. There were many empty parking spaces in the parking lot, and there were 2 charging piles. Free ginger tea was available. When we arrived at 11:00, the raftsmen had just left. We took a number and were number 7 in line. See p2. ⌚ We waited for 15 minutes before boarding the boat. The Jima to Shui'e Di section was a private tour, and there were no other bamboo rafts! The river was quiet and the scenery was beautiful! There were 9 dams in total. We passed by Shui'e Di Pier. There were many bamboo rafts on the Shui'e Di to Comprehensive Pier section. The whole journey took about 1 hour and 10 minutes. See p3–16 for the live stream of each of the 9 sections. ‼️Tips: 1️⃣ When we arrived, the bamboo rafts had just left (there were no raftsmen), so we took a number and waited for a while. As a result, the previous section of the Yulong River was a private tour! It was great. 2️⃣ The water level was relatively shallow when we crossed the dam. For some dams, we had to get off the raft and the raftsmen had to carry the bamboo raft up and then cross the dam. Be careful to lift your feet when crossing the dam. The children were very happy, haha. 3️⃣ I preferred the Jima to Shui'e Di section. There were no buildings on either side, only natural scenery. At 11:00, we were the only bamboo raft! There were many bamboo rafts on the Shui'e Di to Comprehensive Pier section, and there were buildings on both sides. I personally don't recommend it. 4️⃣ The bamboo rafts rowed from east to west, so there was a bit of backlighting in the morning. The raftsmen recommended going in the afternoon when the lighting was better! 5️⃣ Children over 1 meter tall can sit on the raft and need to occupy a seat. It is recommended to book tickets at 20:00 the night before the holiday. Tickets for the next day are released at 20:00. Bring your ID card to verify your ticket when taking the bamboo raft. 6️⃣ If you drive, you can park at Jima Pier. We parked for 2 hours and paid 5 yuan. After the rafting, the driver can take a 10 yuan shuttle bus for 15 minutes to Jima to pick up the car and drive down. ✅ We chatted with the raftsmen on the boat for a while. If you want a private tour of the Jima to Shui'e Di section, you can either go early or wait for the first batch (about 100 rafts) to leave and then queue up to take a number. You need to time it well and have a little luck.
