Booked about 2 months in advance. ☎️ To use the internet, you need to buy a SIM card in Myanmar. Even with roaming enabled, it won't work (it's blocked! ⛔️). Buy it at the airport, right out of the gate. ATOM is 30,000 MMY ~ 270฿. 🙏 Entrance fees for foreigners ✨️ Shwedagon Pagoda entrance fee: 20,000 MMY ~ 180฿ Guide fee: 15,000 MMY ~ 135฿ Botatown Pagoda entrance fee: 15,000 MMY ~ 135฿ 🚊 To get around Yangon, hail a taxi and pinpoint your destination via the Grab app, the same app as in Thailand. The method is the same (the car is very fast, but a bit old). 🛬🚉 From the airport to the city 🏙✨️ Call a Grab taxi into the city. The price is around 22,000-26,000 MMY ~ 240฿. 💸 Pay for your purchases in Myanmar in cash. MMY/Ks. Exchange at Super Rich in Thailand. Call and reserve 10,000 kyats a day in advance, approximately 90 baht (depending on the current exchange rate). Calculate your expenses carefully. Don't exchange too much. You'll lose money if you exchange it back! Pay for your purchases at small supermarkets and local restaurants with cash. Supermarkets in shopping malls and large restaurants that accept foreigners usually accept credit cards. There's a sign at the counter, but bring your Kasikorn Bank card to use it. 555🤣 🍜Recommended food: Burmese milk tea, fried rice, Burmese noodles. 🏠Recommended budget accommodation: Hotel Balme ⭐️⭐️⭐️ in the city. Breakfast is included. New rooms. Friendly staff. The downside is that the room isn't cleaned at all, and you can hear outside noise clearly! 🏢 1-night hotel for 899 baht (prices vary each month). 🤑 Myanmar accepts cash, Kyat (MMK), and MMY (exchangeable in Thailand or at the airport). Credit cards are accepted at major restaurants. We recommend getting a Youtrip card (Kbank) which can be used everywhere. ✨️ 💡Caution: You can't visit every city yet.
