Maritime Silk Road Museum

This is a great place to take children in the summer, and it is one of the key cultural projects in Guangdong Province. It is also the first underwater archaeology-themed museum in China. The museum is large, divided into five oval pavilions resembling ship cabins, with seven major exhibition areas: Setting Sail, Sunken, Exploration, Salvage, Value, Treasures, and Achievements. The Nanhai No. 1 is a wooden ancient shipwreck from the Southern Song Dynasty, with collections including porcelain, stone carvings, cinnabar, etc. It is particularly known for its variety of exquisite porcelain, with more than 30 types. The exhibition area includes an interactive zone for visitors, where they can steer on a simulated ship's bow, watch thematic broadcasts, and immerse themselves in the thrilling and exciting experience of braving the waves on the high seas.
