Bifengxia: A magical journey of nature and pandas Bifengxia, a 4A-level scenic spot located in Yucheng District, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, is famous for its spectacular waterfalls, tranquil valleys, and abundant wildlife. ♥ Travel itinerary Transportation: I chose to depart from Chengdu and take a high-speed train to Ya'an, which only takes 1 hour. There is a direct bus from Ya'an High-speed Railway Station to Bifengxia Scenic Area, which is very convenient. Driving is also a good option, taking about 1.5 hours. Tour route Based on my actual experience, I have planned two tour routes for you. ✔ 1-day boutique loop tour: Visitor Center → Wildlife World → Suspended Perspective Bridge → Panda Base → Right Canyon → Visitor Center. This route takes about 5-6 hours, with no backtracking, and is perfect for visitors with limited time. ✔ 2-day panoramic tour: In addition to the 1-day boutique loop, add a tour of the left canyon. There is a road between the left and right canyons, which can be walked or taken by sightseeing bus. This route is more comprehensive and suitable for visitors who want to experience the beauty of Bifengxia in depth. ♥ Recommended attractions: ✔ Canyon Scenic Area: A secluded valley with towering cliffs on both sides and trees covering the sky. The right canyon is 2.5 km long and suitable for visitors with limited physical strength; the left canyon is 7 km long and more suitable for visitors who like hiking and adventure. ✔ Giant Panda Base: With more than 60 giant pandas, it is the place with the most captive giant pandas in the world. The pandas here are lively and lovely, and the viewing distance is very close, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts. ✔ Wildlife World: A gathering place for various rare birds and animals, the biggest feature is that the animals are very close to the visitors. In the beast area, you can take a sightseeing bus or a feeding bus to have a close and exciting interaction with tigers, lions, black bears, and other beasts. The walking area has a hundred-bird park, a harmonious home, and other places where you can get close to ostriches, elephants, leopards, white lions, white tigers, and thousands of other animals. ✔ Suspended Perspective Bridge: A newly built suspension bridge across the canyon, offering a spectacular view. The suspension bridge connects the wildlife park and the panda base, saving time and effort. ♥ Notes: The scenic area is open from 09:00 to 16:00, and it is recommended to book tickets in advance to enjoy discounts. Wear comfortable sneakers, as you will need to walk and hike in the scenic area. The animals are most active in the morning, so it is recommended to visit Wildlife World in the morning; the giant pandas are more active during feeding time from noon to 2 pm, so you can visit the panda base during this time. ♥ Travel experience Walking into Bifengxia is like stepping into a dream world. The air is filled with the fresh scent of grass and trees, and the leaves rustle in the wind. As you walk along the path, the soft soil is underfoot, and the sound of running water is in your ears. Standing by the waterfall, letting the water droplets fall on your body, you can feel the rare coolness and comfort. In addition to the beautiful scenery, there is also a giant panda base. The adorable giant pandas are lazily lying on the trees or the ground, enjoying the afternoon sun. They sometimes roll and play, sometimes leisurely munching on bamboo, and their leisurely demeanor is amusing.
