A Family of Four's National Day Stroll at Jingtingshan｜Li Bai Didn't Lie!

Don't want to be stuck in crowds this National Day? Jingtingshan in Xuancheng, Anhui is perfect for a family trip! Just a 2-hour drive for a family of four, with hiking, fresh air, and poetic vibes—easy and healing all day long~ After parking, head straight to the "Jingtingshan Scenic Area Entrance," where you can see a stone inscription of Li Bai's poem. Teach the kids a couple of lines first: "Looking at each other, never tired, only Jingtingshan," instantly setting the mood! We chose the "Gentle Slope Trail," which has almost no steep sections. The kids (8 and 5 years old) walked the entire way themselves, resting to enjoy the scenery when tired. Along the path are towering ancient trees; the rustling leaves in the breeze feel cooler than air conditioning, and the air is filled with the scent of plants—parents can sneak in some rest too~ Be sure to stop at the "Taibai Sitting Alone Pavilion" halfway up! Climbing the pavilion offers a view of the whole mountain’s greenery and lets you point out the distant Xuancheng city to the kids. The little ones kept saying "wow" at the scenery, and every photo turned into a perfect family shot (wearing light-colored clothes makes the photos even better!). The "Wangjiang Pavilion" at the summit is the endpoint. Although the elevation isn’t high, the view is very expansive—blue sky, white clouds, and green mountains. Enjoy some fruit you brought while feeling the breeze; all fatigue just melts away~ On the way down, we took the sightseeing bus (20 yuan per person). The kids said it felt like a roller coaster and laughed the whole way. Tips for families with kids: - Wear comfortable sneakers! The trail has some gravel, so avoid sandals. - Bring small snacks and water; prices at the entrance are very reasonable, so no need to carry heavy loads. - National Day crowds aren’t too bad; no need to queue for photos.
