Travel Notes of Heilongtan in Yuntai Mountain

The waterfall is one of the most spectacular in the entire canyon. Two streams rush down under a stone bridge and finally converge into the deep pool below. I remember there is a 'Y-shaped waterfall' in Tanpu Gorge. Compared to that, this waterfall is just missing the bottom part. The deep pool under the waterfall is extremely secluded and mysterious, with emerald green water reflecting the bright and vivid scenery of the vermilion mountains. The boulders in the canyon are also very magical. Not only are they colorful, but they are also smooth and round, like jade. Perhaps this is because they have been touched by people for a long time along the mountain path. Stepping into Hongshi Gorge, it feels like walking into a flowing Danxia painting. The red rock walls are dazzling under the sunlight, splendid and mysterious, making one feel relaxed and happy. The boulders in this section of the river valley are scattered, and the pool water is clear. It is said that the entire canyon is dotted with Shoulongtan, Heilongtan, Qinglongtan, Huanglongtan, Wolongtan, Mianlongtan, Xinglongtan, Zilongtan, Youlongtan, forming Jiulong Stream. I don't know what the pool under the nine-tiered waterfall is named. In addition, there are also scenic spots such as You Waterfall, Chuan Stone Cave, Kissing Stones, Twin Lions Drinking Water, Peacock Spreading Its Tail, Chessboard Stone, etc. Truly, the canyon is filled with strange stones and deep pools, with waterfalls and streams converging, making it the undisputed 'Best Canyon in China.'
