Yuntai Mountain (Jiaozuo City, Henan Province)

Yuntai Mountain is a World Geopark and a key national scenic area in China, located at the southern foot of the Taihang Mountains within the territory of Xiuwu County, Henan Province, covering about 50 square kilometers. Due to its steep and precipitous terrain with significant elevation differences, it is often shrouded in clouds and mist throughout the year, hence the name Yuntai Mountain. Yuntai Mountain is famous for its remarkable mountains, with 36 peculiar peaks and more than 20 natural caves. The main peak, Zhuyu Peak, has an elevation of 1304 meters. Standing on the summit, one often sees the clear blue sky above and thousands of miles of floating clouds below. The mountains seem to drift and wander above the clouds, resembling a fairyland. After the rain clears, one can gaze far into the distance at the Yellow River's flowing waters or look down upon the sheer cliffs and canyons among the mountains. Water -- another distinctive feature of Yuntai Mountain, with countless springs, pools, and waterfalls. It is known for the saying 'every three steps a spring, five steps a waterfall, and ten steps a pool.' The most famous is the 'Yuntai Waterfall,' with a drop of 310 meters, known as the highest in China and the second highest in Asia. The waterfall is like a raging river from the heavens, unstoppable from above, and when it hits the ground, it creates a misty rain that sprinkles and sprays all around. It is truly a wonder of the world.
