Attraction: Qiyun Mountain Scenic Area Address: Qiyun Mountain Town, Xiuning County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province Transportation: Take high-speed rail to Huangshan North Station, then public bus directly to the site, or drive yourself (parking lot available) Itinerary Day 1 Qiyun Mountain Town activities: Shadow puppetry—Traditional Chinese music concert—Golden Dragon Dance across the river—Intangible cultural heritage charcoal flower dance—Bench Dragon—Intangible cultural heritage handicrafts—Fish lanterns—Qiyun iron flower show—Baiyue fireworks show... Day 2 Qiyun Mountain—Bamboo rafting If you have time, you can also visit nearby Hongcun Village and Huangshan Mountain Town activities and performances: 1. The town offers many free activities and performances, subject to the scenic area's daily schedule. Highly recommend the fireworks show—it's spectacular and they really invest in it! 2. Children's intangible cultural heritage handicraft activities require separate payment. We made an iron painting (115 yuan) that we'd never seen before—children 4+ can participate. Qiyun Mountain Scenic Area Recommended combo ticket: Entrance ticket + cable car + bamboo rafting for 188 yuan 1. If traveling with elderly relatives or children, take the cable car up the mountain like we did (short, medium, and long routes available). Climbing this mountain feels even more exciting than Huangshan, with very compact scenic spots along the way. 2. There's a white Labrador tied up at Xiaohutian—bring some snacks to socialize with it, haha! 3. Take a bamboo raft on the Heng River. This is one of the sources of a certain agricultural mountain spring water and upstream of Thousand Island Lake. The river water is clean and refreshing. Accommodation 1. We recommend staying at the Qiyun Mountain Baiyue Resort Hotel like we did. The rooms are spacious and clean. Most importantly, it's located within the scenic area with a market right downstairs. If you're traveling with children and get tired, you can take a midday nap and continue exploring afterward—no time wasted! 2. After arriving at the hotel, I discovered that guests can take the free shuttle bus to the scenic area—no need to take a taxi. So convenient!
