Jinshan Primeval Forest • Ailao Mountain's Emerald City & A Real-Life Eden

👉 Jinshan Primeval Forest is located in Gasa Town, Xinping County, Yuxi City, near the Jinshan Pass of Ailao Mountain, at the junction of Xinping County, Yuxi City and Zhenyuan County, Pu'er City. 👉 Jinshan Primeval Forest is a part of Ailao Mountain National Nature Reserve. It actually covers a very large area, but what we're talking about today is only a small part of it, the part that has been simply developed and opened to the public. ～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～ 🌈Highlights: 1️⃣ Approaching the scenic area, it was already shrouded in fog. The entrance and the entire route were indeed covered in dense fog. The primeval forest, shrouded in mist all year round (it is said that it is like this for about 247 days a year), is like a real-life Emerald City. Occasionally, sunlight penetrates the forest, illuminating the leaves and branches, the moss-covered trunks and the ground. The dappled sunlight renders the primeval forest like the Garden of Eden in fairy tales. 2️⃣ A circular stone-slab walking trail is completely shaded by the overhead forest. Looking up along the glistening moss on the tree trunks, you'll see branches and leaves swaying in the wind. Walking among the withered vines and ancient trees, your head touching orchid leaves and your feet stepping on medicinal herbs, you'll pass by Leigong trees, Jiziqing, Malugou, Baoziqing, moss forests, wild boar forests, bear dens, and more, as if you've entered a prehistoric wilderness. 3️⃣ Some tree stumps, branches, and tree hollows along the trail can be explored up close, as long as it's safe to do so. You might make some unexpected discoveries and enjoy unique perspectives. ～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～ 🚗Getting There: 1️⃣ Jinshan Primeval Forest (Park) is located at Jinshan Pass in Gasa Town, Xinping County, Yuxi City. It is about 35 km from Gasa Town, about 105 km from Xinping County, and about 260 km from Kunming City. 2️⃣ Driving is strongly recommended. ～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～ 🎫Tickets: 1️⃣ Adult tickets are 10 yuan per person. Discount policies are available. 2️⃣ There is a parking lot at the entrance. The parking fee is 10 yuan. ～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～～ ✨Tips: 1️⃣ In addition to Jinshan Primeval Forest, there are other attractions around Ailao Mountain, such as the Ailao Mountain Sea of Clouds and Sunrise Viewing Platform, Sanmen Gorge Scenic Area, Nanen Waterfall, Tusifu, and Chucheng Manor. You can plan to visit them together. 2️⃣ The weather on Ailao Mountain is changeable, and forecasts are not always accurate. 3️⃣ After watching the sunrise and sea of clouds on Ailao Mountain, it is very convenient to continue on to Jinshan Primeval Forest.
