Beizi Temple Live Report

🌈Scenic Features: Xilinhot Beizi Temple (Chongshan Temple) is located at the foot of E'erduo Aobao Mountain on the north side of the city. It was built in the eighth year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1743 AD). The temple was built in the Abahanaer Left Wing Banner (the predecessor of today's Xilinhot City) and served as the banner temple of the Abahanaer Left Wing Banner. Originally named 'Bandidegegeheit', the Abahanaer Left Wing Banner was governed by the fourth-generation banner prince Balazhuur Dorji, with the temple located in Beizi Temple. Therefore, it is commonly referred to as 'Beizi Temple' or 'Great Temple' by the locals and is one of the four major temples in Inner Mongolia. 🕐️Opening Hours: The opening hours are from 08:00 to 18:00. 🏝️Route Recommendations: The entire temple is divided into five main halls. The central hall is the Chaokeqin (administrative and religious affairs) hall, flanked by the Labrang (Living Buddha) hall, Queri (philosophy) hall, Manba (medical) hall, and Zhudoduba (astronomy and mathematics) hall. In addition, there are more than a dozen small halls and over two thousand lama residences around Beizi Temple. After its completion, the total area of Beizi Temple reached 1.2 square kilometers. It follows the traditional architectural style of the Yellow Sect, with unique structures and exquisite carvings. It consists of the main temple, affiliated temples, family temples, pagodas, and numerous monk rooms. 💗Other Tips: The area around Beizi Temple is lush with water and grass and has beautiful scenery. The sacred Xilin River flows slowly from south to north on the west side of Beizi Temple, and now its two sides are bustling urban areas.
