Siguniang Mountain｜At this moment, I’ve finally caught the stunning autumn scenery of Western Sichuan!

Last year I missed the colorful forests of Western Sichuan, but this year I finally caught them! Departed from Chengdu on Saturday and drove all the way to Siguniang Mountain Town. At 4 a.m. on Sunday, the alarm went off—not the ringtone, but my heart yearning for the mountains and wilderness woke me up. With my headlamp lighting the path ahead, my dog and I set off side by side. The vast Western Sichuan Plateau is swept by winds from the snow-capped glaciers. Because I took a wrong turn at the start, I missed the sunrise at Bajiao Shelter, but every choice brings a different experience. I will definitely return to Haizi Valley’s moss forest!
