The camphor tree was planted during the Tang and Song Dynasties, now over 1000 years old. The trunk splits into two, with a banyan tree from the Qing Dynasty, about 300 years old, growing in between. The two trees merge into one, with a trunk circumference of 18 meters and a height of about 32 meters, resembling a giant umbrella. • Bijia Mountain: Jichuan's unique peak, with an altitude of 700 meters. Three peaks stand out, with the middle peak towering high and the sides slightly lower, resembling a pen rack from afar, hence the name Bijia Mountain. The middle peak is also known as "Zhuangyuan Peak," with strange caves and rocks, attracting many tourists. • Yumen Three-level Waves: A multi-level waterfall rock with a drop of over 100 meters. The rock layers are roughly divided into three large levels and several small levels, forming a three-level wave landscape, hence the names "Three-level Waves" and "Eighteen Waves." The water flows down from a high place with great momentum. • Jinzhong Lake: Also known as Jinzhong Reservoir, it is the first large-scale water conservancy project in Fujian Province built after the reform and opening up, integrating water supply and irrigation functions. The reservoir's water is jade green, surrounded by lush mountains, effectively solving the water problem for about 1.1 million people, known as "Putian's second water tank." • Lin Yuma's Former Residence: Built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, the existing building was rebuilt in the late Qing Dynasty. The original owner was Lin Yuma, an official in the Ministry of Revenue. The residence is a single-entry "five-room" stone and wood structure with a total area of 457 square meters, representing the ancient residential buildings of Jichuan. It is now the "Jichuan Village History Museum." • Shide Hall: Built in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, it is one of the Lin family's halls, with a building area of about 830 square meters, featuring a South Seas style. It is said that the Lin family had ten talented and virtuous sons, hence the name "Shide Hall." The hall's entrance has a couplet, "Loyalty and filial piety of the Xihe family, the first family of the Southern Dynasty," indicating that Jichuan Village is the site of the eight surnames entering Fujian during the Western Jin Dynasty. • Tiantang Palace: Also known as Mazu Temple, dedicated to Mazu, built in the Song Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. The palace site resembles a five-petal lotus flower. An ancient couplet reads, "Five-petal lotus fragrance in Jishui, three peaks of Bijia reflecting Tiantang." The palace houses large wooden pillars and stone bases from the Song Dynasty and a plaque inscribed by Lin Yaoyu, Minister of Rites in the Ming Dynasty, "Protect the country and shelter the people." • Yunshan Academy: Built in the Song Dynasty and rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty, also known as "Three Teachings Temple." Lin Longjiang, the leader of the Three-One Religion, once lectured here, promoting the flourishing of farming culture. • Lin Lianbo's Former Residence: Built in the early Republic of China, originally the residence of the local wealthy Lin Lianbo, covering an area of over 646 square meters. The existing building is a double-seat two-story seven-room structure. After liberation, it was used as a grain collection point for the village, hence also known as the "Granary," representing large residential buildings in Jichuan Village. • Merit Flagpole Clamps: Also known as flagpole stones, ancient people would generally erect two flagpole stones in front of the ancestral hall or tomb after passing the imperial examination, with the flagpole inserted in the middle. The flagpole stones are engraved with the examinee's name, rank, and life deeds to inspire future generations. The village's eighteen pairs of "merit flagpole clamps" witness the glory of the imperial examinations. • Jichuan Song Bridge: Built in the second year of the Song Dynasty (1065), it is still a main traffic route in the village. The bridge deck is 2.5 meters wide and 8.6 meters long, with a brief bridge inscription on the bridge railing, recording the donation and construction details by Lin Ze and others. • Jichuan Song Well: Built in the second year of the Song Dynasty (1065), about 100 meters from the Song Bridge. The well is 8 meters deep, with an inner diameter of 0.7 meters and an outer diameter of 1.1 meters, made from a single piece of bluestone, with an inscription recording the donation by Lin Ze and others. 🎟️Ticket information: No tickets required. 💗Other tips: • The tourism development in Jichuan Village may not be fully developed yet, and related facilities such as dining and accommodation are relatively scarce.
