The "Tongjiang Academy" located at the foot of Shenxianju has a history of 800 years and is known as the first academy in Jiangnan. It is not only the oldest academy in Xianju, but also the best-preserved academy in Jiangnan. White walls and black tiles, eaves of verandas, and two tall and dense Castanopsis trees in front of the academy are said to have been planted by Zhu Xi himself. He came here twice to give lectures and sent his son here to study. This shows the profound cultural heritage of the academy.
