Shanxi, Xiangfen County, Taosi Guandi Tower.

First built in the Yuan dynasty, it is a double-eave hip-and-gable roof pavilion-style building. During later repairs, a waist eave was added between the upper and lower eaves, making it a triple-eave hip-and-gable roof. It was renovated in the 4th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing dynasty (1737). The tower is 22.6 meters high, with a brick and wood structure and a cross-shaped hip-and-gable roof. It appears to have three floors but actually has four. The base is a cross-shaped arched passageway. The second and third floors have surrounding railings. The third floor has a shrine with a statue of Guan Gong reading the Spring and Autumn Annals at night. The main tower is flanked by elegantly shaped bell and drum towers.
