Self-driving to the City in the Sky, Litang 2-day tour loop

If you come to western Sichuan, please be sure to leave at least 1-2 days for Litang, especially Genie‼️ Although western Sichuan is very cold in winter, there are few tourists. During the New Year period, we set off from Litang County and drove westward. There were almost no tourists along the way, especially on the day of the Genie loop, we even chartered all the attractions. 🚗 It takes about two and a half hours to drive from Litang County to Genie Town. Although it is all country roads, they are all newly paved roads, very wide and easy to drive. We drove round and round along the mountain roads of the country roads until we reached the 4800-meter blacksmith mountain pass. The Genie Mountain suddenly appeared in front of us, and the huge 'pressure' made us scream, it was so beautiful and spectacular‼️ 🏠 When you arrive at the entrance of Genie Town, you need to sign a 'Forest Grassland Fire Prevention Reminder' (required to be signed from October 1st to June 30th of the following year) and you can go in. There will be a fork in the road ahead, with two roads on the left and right. The road sign indicates to go to the 'Eye of Genie' to the left, but in fact both roads are passable. The road on the left is newly built and easier to walk, and the right will pass through the old mountain dirt road. 💡It is recommended that you can walk a small loop without looking back. We first went to the right and drove counterclockwise. Don't miss these places along the way⬇️ 📍Yilaka Peak Viewing Platform A white building similar to 'abandoned' on the hillside, the car can drive directly onto the platform, where you can enjoy the 'Genie Mountain' and the adjacent 'Kameron Peak' at close range. 📍Genie Nature Center Continue driving and you will see several small wooden houses, which are very rich in framing with the snow-capped mountains and mountain ranges, and are very suitable for catching shots. 📍Xiaze Tong Village There is a hot spring hotel here, which is not open in winter, but you can drive in. There are many sulfur stones by the creek, and you can take pictures on the shore. 📍Eye of Genie To protect this 'eye to heaven', cars can no longer be driven in, and can only be walked in from outside. The water level of the Eye of Genie in winter is very low, and ice has formed. 📍Zeba Village The long creek is reflected under the distant 'Kameron Peak', the white noise of the water flow is very decompressing, and the sun shines on the water surface. 🌄At sunset, we returned to Litang County. The setting sun slanted and formed beautiful light and shadow. We climbed up the hill along the small road next to Litang Temple. This is a good place to watch the sunset. There are no obstructions around, and you can overlook the county town. The view is very wide, and the setting sun shines on the building into a warm orange color, with a gentle feeling. Looking back, you can see the full view of Litang Temple behind you, with orange and golden light, brilliant but not dazzling. 📍Litang Temple is also called 'Changqing Chunkeer Temple', located on the hillside of Zhongmolaka Mountain about 1 kilometer north of the county town. The place where we watch the sunset is on a small road to the right of the temple entrance, climbing up the hill + steps to the top of the hill, about 5 minutes. If you don't drive here, there are actually several places around where you can walk up. The road is less, but the dirt slope is a bit steep, and there is no place to park, so it is most convenient to locate at Litang Temple. 🌄The sun will be blocked by the distant mountains first, and enter the twilight time in advance.
