How to Explore Genie Mountain

🚩Planning to visit Western Sichuan during the National Day holiday? If you're considering a long trip to Genie Mountain, make sure to do your homework! I just got back, and while the grass hasn't fully turned yellow, the scenery is still breathtaking. However, there's a lot to learn about how to make the most of your trip. 📕❗❗ 🤔Those who have been to the southern route of Genie Mountain know that the area revolves around three main villages: Xiazetong Village, Zeba Village, and Gemu Village, whether you go in one direction or the other. Let me introduce the landscapes and attractions of these villages. 💥 Xiazetong Village ✓ Scenic Features: Located beneath the snow-capped mountains, the village offers expansive views that complement the snowy peaks. Every snapshot is a masterpiece. Not far from Xiazetong Village is the Eye of Genie. The village also has natural hot springs, where the warm steam provides comfort and relaxation. The architecture is rich in Tibetan characteristics, and the villagers maintain traditional lifestyles and customs, offering a deep dive into Tibetan culture and life. Zeba Village ✓ Scenic Features: Almost in the middle of the southern route of Genie Mountain, with the Eye of Genie and Lenggu Temple in front and the Hot Ladder Valley and Gemu Village behind. It faces the Genie Glacier directly, making it a prime Tibetan village on the southern route with views in multiple directions. Enjoy flower seas in summer and colorful forests in autumn. ✓ Numerous Check-in Points: There are many spots to explore, including a lone tree, Hangda Camp, Old Lenggu Temple, Stone Forest, Black Lake, caves, and the Zeba Secret Realm. The rich variety of activities can satisfy different exploration needs. Gemu Village ✓ Scenic Features: Like a forgotten fairyland, it is tranquil and peaceful. The wooden cabins are scattered, with smoke curling from the chimneys. Although the Tibetan elders may not speak your language, their warm smiles and nods make you feel especially welcome. ✓ The area around the cabins features vast grasslands, vibrant flower seas, and leisurely grazing cattle and sheep, along with babbling streams. This is my favorite place, where many people set up tents to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of nature. 🙂Finally: ● Gemu Village is more primitive and rustic compared to Zeba Village and Xiazetong Village. However, accommodation is less convenient, so it's recommended to stay in Xiazetong Village or Zeba Village. ● There are no gas stations in Genie Mountain, so remember to refuel whenever you come across a gas station along the way. ⛽ ● The altitude of Genie Mountain is high, and there's no signal, so download offline maps in advance. It's sincerely advised that beginners avoid self-driving and join a small tour group for convenience and ease. ● The road conditions in Genie Mountain are poor, so it's best to choose an off-road vehicle (like Tank 300 or BJ40) for your trip!
