Gulangyu Filming Location Map Revealed

As Xiamen’s “natural film studio,” Gulangyu has attracted numerous film and television productions over the years. On January 18, 2024, the first Chinese film reflecting the covert struggle on Taiwan’s front line, "Silent Glory," began filming on Gulangyu. The “Guangfu Electric Power Company Guesthouse” frequently featured in the drama is actually the former site of Yude Girls' School on Gulangyu. This school building is a typical colonial-style corridor structure, witnessing the spread of Western culture and modern education on Gulangyu. Visitors can feel the weight of history here. In addition, "Silent Glory" also filmed at multiple locations such as Dadeji Beach and the beach near Neicuo’ao Pier. At the intersection of Guxin Road and Sanming Road stands a three-story red brick Western-style building known as the “most beautiful corner.” In "The First Time," Yang Ying and Zhao Youting meet here, and in "Secret Love: Orange Born in Huainan," Sheng Huainan and Luo Zhi also have a date here, where visitors can encounter romance. In the TV drama "Midnight Song," the scenes where Sun Li and Barbie Hsu swing and play on the lawn were filmed against the backdrop of the former British Consulate on Zhangzhou Road, Gulangyu.
