W Xiamen | A Must-Stay Marriott Property in Xiamen🏨 Xiamen boasts many excellent hotels, from the extravagantly decorated Waldorf Astoria to the urban resort-style The LOHO, as well as trendy lifestyle hotels like Andaz and W. Our experience at W Xiamen was quite impressive overall. During our stay, we were upgraded to the Fantastic Suite, approximately 100 square meters with a well-designed layout. The floor lamp with white feathers in the living room was a highlight, exuding great texture. The bed featured locally inspired dice decorations, adding a playful touch. The welcome gift was an Egret plush toy, a Xiamen specialty with a cool design. The bathroom had dual sinks, and both the hardware and design were top-notch. The hotel maintains W's signature trendy style, with the most eye-catching elements in public areas. The pool resembles a nightclub bar scene, while the elevator lobby uses light and shadow waterfalls to depict seasonal changes. The vibrant, neon-lit lobby is perfect for photo ops. While embracing pop-punk and psychedelic art, the hotel stays true to authentic Minnan cuisine. Breakfast offers a mix of Chinese and Western options, including local specialties like satay noodles. The bar features a hot tub and resident DJ, serving street food-style snacks and cocktails that pay homage to Xiamen's rich history. W Xiamen carves out a unique niche among the city's hotels. Though lacking ocean views or family activities, its stylish design appeals to younger guests, and it treats Marriott elite members generously. Service is excellent, facilities are well-maintained, and overall quality meets expectations. While not very close to attractions, it has few drawbacks and comes highly recommended.
