Xiamen | My Favorite Hiking Route | Mountain-Sea Trail

Since I was traveling alone, I decided to go on an impromptu adventure. On the third day of my trip, I was woken up early by the owner of the guesthouse, who informed me that the window upstairs had broken during the night. Well, since I was already awake, I decided to look for nearby places to visit. I suddenly remembered the Mountain-Sea Trail that I had bookmarked earlier. After calculating the time, it seemed like I could still make it back to the guesthouse for a shower before heading out again. So, I set off immediately. I took a taxi to the D18 entrance of the Mountain-Sea Trail. After getting off, I walked about 5-6 minutes to the left and saw the 'Wan Shi Cang Hai' sign. It's recommended to start the trail from this direction. Online, this spot is humorously nicknamed 'Grilled Gluten,' and from a distance, it does look a bit like that. However, upon closer inspection, it's an impressive design. You can take an elevator to the observation tower, but I chose to walk up slowly in circles. At the top of the tower, there's an aerial walkway that stretches for several hundred meters. Even though I had mentally prepared myself, the height still shocked me, especially since the walkway offers a bird's-eye view of the nearby Shangli Reservoir Park. The scenery is absolutely stunning, but it made my legs go weak with fear XD. It was definitely a challenge for me.
