During the few days I walked through the streets and alleys of Xiamen, I summed up a rule: If you only have half a day and want to experience the local customs and culture of Xiamen in the most direct way, and you are a lone ranger like me who likes to wander around alone, don't miss Xiamen's "Xi'an Road Flower and Bird Market". After walking this route myself, I recommend this Citywalk route, which I personally think is the most comfortable on the island. There are many flower shops on both sides of this road, and the prices are very affordable. You can get a bouquet of exquisitely packaged flowers for 20-30 RMB. Most of the shops here are quite old, so when you walk along this street you will see many traces left by the years, such as the small Western-style buildings wrapped in climbing plants. Passing through the clusters of flowers in the first half, the second half is filled with the fragrance of flowers and birdsong. There are pigeons, kittens, puppies, turtles, geckos, etc. The dazzling animal world will overwhelm you. At two or three o'clock in the afternoon, most of the shop owners are lazy and don't greet you. Instead, it is these spiritual little animals that actively respond to you.
