Hiking at Dongping Mountain - Xiamen

Getting There - Dongping Mountain lies in the southern part of Xiamen island and it’s easy to get to with public transport. The mountain park is located inside the Wanshi Mountain Scenic Spot and is the best place in Xiamen City with natural landscape and rural scenery in an urban area. I have hiked all over the mountain and can confidently say that this place offers one of the best views and some of the best hiking trails on the entire island. Gundan Valley is highly recommended if anyone wants to go for a wild hike. Besides, there is also a Bougainvillea garden inside the Dongping Mountain Park. (Bougainvillea is the city flower of Xiamen.)
