Climb high and look far

Gongtang Pagoda is the iconic building of Labrang Monastery, and the pagoda looks beautiful and dazzling in the sunlight. Gongtang Pagoda is located on the south side of Labrang Monastery. Visitors will pass by here when they walk clockwise along the circumambulation path from the east side of Labrang Monastery. From a distance, you can see a huge five-story pagoda, with a golden cylindrical top and exquisitely dazzling Buddha statues on the sides. It is very spectacular, and you can take photos outside first. After entering Gongtang Pagoda, you can start to appreciate the interior of the pagoda. According to the rituals of Tibetan Buddhism, each floor inside the hall needs to be visited in a clockwise circle. An additional ticket of twenty yuan is required to enter Gongtang Pagoda.
